The operative part is what matters
A judgment has a structure that survives translation badly if nobody respects it: the recitals of fact, the reasoning, and the operative part — the fallo, dispositivo, resolutivos, Tenor — which is what the court actually ordered. That section is the enforceable content and everything else is explanation.
It is translated with the ordering language intact and without being compressed. A reader needs to know precisely what was ordered, against whom, and subject to what condition, and a summarised operative part is not a judgment.
Finality is a separate fact from the judgment
In most civil-law systems a judgment does nothing until it is final, and finality is evidenced by a separate endorsement: a German Rechtskraftvermerk, a Czech doložka právní moci, a Spanish-language certificado de firmeza, a decree absolute following a decree nisi.
A judgment submitted without that endorsement is routinely queried, and that is a problem with the copy rather than the translation. Ask the court for a copy carrying it before ordering.
Legal terms are not converted into US equivalents
Procedural posture and remedies do not map. An amparo is not an injunction. Casación is not an appeal in the US sense. A medida cautelar is not a TRO. Rendering any of them as the nearest US term asserts a characterisation nobody has made and imports a body of law that does not apply.

Frequently asked questions
Can you translate just the operative part?
We can translate an extract and the certification will say so, but most courts and agencies refuse a partial judgment.
My judgment was rejected as not final.
It probably lacks the endorsement of legal force, which is a separate stamp or page. Ask the court for a copy carrying it.
Will you translate amparo as injunction?
No. They are different remedies and equating them imports law that does not apply. We keep the original term.
