A contract is translated clause by clause, not summarised

Every clause is translated, including the ones that look like boilerplate. Governing law, jurisdiction, notices, severability and force majeure are where a dispute is actually decided, and a translation that compresses them has removed the part a lawyer will read first.

Defined terms are translated consistently throughout and capitalised as the original capitalises them, because a defined term that drifts between renderings stops being a defined term. Where a term has no US counterpart, the original is kept with a literal rendering rather than replaced by an approximate equivalent that imports the wrong body of law.

Civil-law concepts do not have US equivalents

This is where contract translation goes wrong most often. A civil-law rescisión is not the same as a common-law rescission. Caso fortuito and fuerza mayor are distinguished in many civil codes and collapsed in most English drafting. A cláusula penal is enforceable in jurisdictions where a US liquidated-damages clause would be struck down.

Translating any of those into the nearest US term asserts a legal characterisation that nobody has made and that may be wrong. We give the original term with a literal rendering and let counsel do the characterising.

Signatures, stamps and what makes it binding

Signature blocks, company stamps, initialled pages and notarial or witness attestations are translated and described, including where a page carries initials and nothing else. In many jurisdictions the stamp is what binds the company, and a translation that omits it omits the binding element.

A standard translation is for business or personal use where certification is not needed, such as CVs, client intake forms or marketing material, and is billed at the same $24.95 per page of up to 250 words.
