How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Yuba College and Woodland Community College publish no translation rule: students who attended schools in other countries must have their transcripts evaluated by an outside service before either college gives credit, and both recommend World Education Services (WES) or another NACES member.
Yuba CCD's evaluation agencies, such as WES, ECE and IERF, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You translate first and send the translation to the agency with your records; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide.

Yuba CCD requirements in detail

No rule of their own; the translation is what the evaluation service needs before it can evaluate a record not in English.

Evaluation
What counts
Lower-division coursework from accredited institutions; no upper-division credit; in general no limit on units transferred (Yuba College: evaluation of transcripts).
Where it goes
International (F-1) students
Yuba College no longer has an international student program (Yuba College: international students).
Who this page is for
Yuba College says it no longer has an International student program, so the foreign-records rule in this district matters mostly to residents, immigrants and refugees who studied abroad and now enroll at Yuba College in Marysville or Woodland Community College.
Both colleges treat studies abroad the same way: the Admissions and Records office does not read a foreign transcript itself, but an evaluation from an outside service, and uses it for prerequisites and degree requirements (Yuba, Woodland).
Yuba accepts credit only from accredited institutions and never for upper-division courses, though courses may count even if they are several years old or were used for a degree elsewhere.
Submit the papers during your first semester (Yuba College: evaluation of transcripts). For a placement or prerequisite question about high school work, see high school diploma translation.
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
Both colleges name WES, which wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, does not accept translations by applicants, and does not translate documents itself; translations are uploaded in your WES account.
Other NACES members are accepted too. ECE accepts word-for-word translations in the same format as the original, including your own, or sells an $85 waiver under which it translates internally for the report.
IERF asks for typed, line-by-line, word-for-word translations and may require a professional one.
Ask the agency for a course-by-course report if you want individual courses counted toward prerequisites or your degree, and translate every page of the transcript and degree certificate, including stamps and the grading scale.
Need a certified translation for Yuba CCD?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- University or college transcripts, for the evaluation
- Degree or diploma certificates
- Grading scale or transcript legend
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Yuba CCD
The translation goes to the evaluation agency with your records (WES takes it in your WES account).
The agency then sends the evaluation to Yuba College Admissions and Records, attention Evaluations, or to Woodland Community College, which also takes an electronic copy at wccadmissionsinfo@yccd.edu (Yuba, Woodland).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Yuba and Woodland that means we translate your records for the agency; the WES or NACES evaluation is ordered by you after the translation.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Yuba College accept international students on an F-1 visa?
No. Yuba College says it no longer has an international student program (Yuba College: international students).
How do Yuba and Woodland evaluate transcripts from another country?
Through an outside evaluating service; both recommend WES and accept other NACES members (Yuba, Woodland).
Can I use an eVerbary translation for WES?
Yes. WES accepts translations by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, and not by applicants (WES).
Will my upper-division university courses count?
No. Yuba does not grant credit for upper-division courses or courses from non-accredited institutions (Yuba College: evaluation of transcripts).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
