How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Xavier University of Louisiana requires international applicants, first-time freshmen included, to submit a course-by-course evaluation of their international coursework from WES, ECE, TEC (formerly SpanTran) or InCred, sent directly by the agency; it publishes no translation rule of its own.

Xavier's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

Xavier requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; the evaluator needs the translation (International students).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation

A course-by-course evaluation of international coursework, for first-time freshmen and other international applicants (International students).

Accepted agencies

WES, ECE, TEC (formerly SpanTran) and InCred (International students).

Timing

Evaluations can take a month after the agency receives your transcripts; start early to meet the deadline (International students).

Financial support

A notarized Xavier Certificate of Financial Support (International students).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate itself. ECE accepts a complete, literal translation in the same format, or sells an $85 waiver.

TEC asks that an outside translator be certified by ATA, which eVerbary can provide on request through a free quote. InCred sets its own rule, not covered here.

Count back a month

Xavier warns that evaluations can take a month from the day the agency receives your transcripts, and the report must reach admissions by your deadline (International students).

The translation comes before that month starts, so order it as soon as you have your secondary school records; most eVerbary orders are delivered within a few hours.

Need a certified translation for Xavier?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • Secondary school transcripts, every year
  • Secondary school diploma
  • College or university transcripts
  • Bank documents for the Certificate of Financial Support, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Xavier

  • The translation goes to WES, ECE, TEC or InCred with your records; the agency emails the course-by-course evaluation directly to Xavier admissions (International students).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Xavier that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from WES, ECE, TEC or InCred.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
