NACES or AICE

Winona State requirements in detail

Translation

Original or certified true copies with English translations, presented before the start of the first semester (International admissions: how to apply).

Who may translate

For the decision

Unofficial transcripts uploaded to the My Warrior Life portal (International admissions: how to apply).

First-year applicants

Upload education records and explain any gaps in your education history (International admissions: how to apply).

Transfer applicants

High school records if you have fewer than 24 college credits; a course-by-course evaluation of each transcript from abroad by SpanTran, WES, ECE, IEE or another NACES or AICE member (International admissions: how to apply).

Graduate

A course-by-course evaluation from ECE or WES, orderable from the CAS application, or another NACES or AICE member; all documents by March 1 (International admissions: how to apply).

Deadlines

From abroad: May 1 for fall, September 1 for spring. Already studying in the US: August 10 and December 1 (International admissions: how to apply).

Two moments: the decision, then the first semester

Winona State splits the paperwork.

For the admission decision you upload your education records, unofficial copies included, to the My Warrior Life portal; before the start of your first semester you must present original or certified true copies with English translations (international admissions).

The same sentence appears for first-year and transfer applicants.

Ordering the certified translation at the start means the same file serves both moments: upload it with the unofficial copy now, and present it with the certified copy later.

First-year applicants are those who recently completed secondary school and have taken no university courses; translate the secondary diploma and transcripts. Transfer applicants with fewer than 24 college credits send high school records too.

Evaluations: undergraduate and graduate rules differ

For undergraduate transfer, each college or university transcript from outside the US needs a course-by-course evaluation from SpanTran, WES, ECE or IEE, or another member of NACES or AICE (International admissions: how to apply).

Graduate applicants are pointed to ECE or WES, which can be ordered from the Colleges Attended tab of the CAS application; other NACES or AICE evaluators must have transcripts sent to Winona State, and all documents are due March 1.

The agencies set their own translation rules: WES accepts only a professional translator and not the applicant; ECE accepts any complete, word-for-word translation or sells an $85 waiver.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Winona State

  • Upload the records with their translations to the My Warrior Life portal for the admission decision; present the original or certified true copies with the English translations before your first semester (International admissions: how to apply).

  • Graduate applicants upload documents in the CAS application and order ECE or WES there.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Winona State that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation comes from a NACES or AICE member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
