How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma requires every secondary and post-secondary transcript from a foreign institution to be officially evaluated by WES, InCred or SpanTran, and publishes no translation rule of its own.

USAO's evaluation agencies, such as WES, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

USAO requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; the evaluator needs the translation (International admissions).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation

All secondary and post-secondary transcripts from a foreign institution, officially evaluated by a third party (International admissions).

Accepted agencies

WES, InCred and SpanTran (International admissions).

Deadline

May 1 for fall enrollment (International admissions).

Bank statement

Certified, showing the equivalent of $15,000 less scholarships, no older than three months (International admissions).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, and does not translate itself.

SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, asks that an outside translator be certified by ATA, or translates in-house; for it, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA through a free quote. InCred, often used by athletes, sets its own rule, not covered here.

Secondary records still matter for transfers

Students transferring from a US college with fewer than 24 credit hours are admitted on their secondary school records, and athletes need secondary school information for NAIA purposes even when transferring (International admissions).

Foreign records at any level go through the evaluation. USAO accepts all documents by email, and everything must be in by May 1 for fall.

Need a certified translation for USAO?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

  • Secondary school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts

  • International Health Form attachments, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to USAO

  • The translation goes to WES, InCred or SpanTran with your records; the agency sends its evaluation to USAO, and your other documents go to admissions@usao.edu (International admissions).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For USAO that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from WES, InCred or SpanTran.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does USAO require a translation or an evaluation?

An official third-party evaluation from WES, InCred or SpanTran (International admissions); the agency asks for the translation.

When are materials due?

May 1 for fall enrollment (International admissions).

Can I email my documents?

Yes, to admissions@usao.edu (International admissions).

Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for SpanTran?

Yes, on request through a free quote: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian at $34.95 per page, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian at $44.95. ATA certifies no other languages into English.

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
