Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Rockhurst's public pages (sources).

Rockhurst University asks international transfer applicants for official credentials translated into English, without saying who must translate, and a course-by-course evaluation from a credential evaluator such as The Evaluation Company, ECE or WES.

Rockhurst University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

Graduate applicants need no external evaluation, since Rockhurst evaluates their credit internally; the transfer evaluation is something we do not produce.

Rockhurst at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Rockhurst says official academic credentials and transcripts "should be translated into English" (international admissions) and does not restrict who translates; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript

This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice

  • CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
  • Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
  • Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
  • Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Translation and evaluation for transfer applicants

Rockhurst treats as transfer applicants those who started post-secondary study without completing the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree, and those with a degree who want a second bachelor's in another field.

For them, official credentials and transcripts should be translated into English, and international transcripts must be evaluated course by course by a credential evaluator (international admissions).

Rockhurst lists three: The Evaluation Company, a NACES member with a custom Rockhurst application at a discount; ECE; and WES.

WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator; ECE also accepts one made by the applicant; TEC wants an outside translator certified by ATA. For TEC, ask eVerbary for a translator individually certified by ATA.

Graduate and first-time students

Graduate applicants need no external credit evaluation, because Rockhurst completes it internally; deadlines and documents vary by program (International student admissions).

First-time college students apply through the Common App or the Rockhurst online application by June 1 for fall or November 1 for spring, with a counselor's recommendation and official English test scores.

International undergraduates are not eligible for state or federal aid but may receive merit scholarships of $14,000 to $28,000.

Documents applicants usually translate

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Rockhurst

  • Email the translated documents to international@rockhurst.edu or mail them to the Office of Admission; the evaluator sends its course-by-course report to Rockhurst (International student admissions).

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Rockhurst, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Rockhurst that means we translate your credentials; the course-by-course evaluation for transfer applicants comes from TEC, ECE or WES.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Rockhurst need my transcripts translated?

Yes, into English; Rockhurst does not say who must translate (International student admissions).

The Evaluation Company, ECE and WES, for a course-by-course evaluation (International student admissions).

Do graduate applicants need an evaluation?

No external evaluation; Rockhurst evaluates graduate credit internally (International student admissions).

Yes, on request through a free quote, for example for a TEC evaluation: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian at $34.95 per page, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian at $44.95.
