How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Quincy College asks international applicants for the official high school diploma or foreign equivalent, as originals or certified copies, with an official English translation if not in English, and does not say who must translate.

Quincy College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. An evaluation by CED or WES is required on request and for transfer credit, and that evaluation is something we do not provide.

Quincy College at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Quincy College's international student services page says an official English translation must be submitted with documents not in English, without restricting who translates (international student services); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Quincy College requirements in detail

Translation

An official English translation submitted with documents not in English (International student services).

Who may translate

Records

Official high school diploma or foreign equivalent, as originals or certified copies; policy 4.04 asks for the secondary or college diploma with English translation (policy 4.04).

Evaluation

By CED or WES upon request; for transfer credit, all overseas transcripts through CED or WES (International student services).

Transfer credit

Foreign transcripts evaluated by an educational credential evaluator and sent directly to Quincy College; the student pays the fees (policy 4.05).

Bachelor's applicants

The same diploma and translation requirement (International student services).

Translation now, evaluation on request

For admission, Quincy College's international checklist asks for the official high school diploma or foreign equivalent, submitted as originals or certified copies, and an official English translation along with any document not in English (international student services).

An evaluation is not automatic: students must submit an evaluation by CED or WES upon request. For transfer credit it is required, and all overseas transcripts must be evaluated through CED or WES.

The same translation sentence appears in the page's section for bachelor's degree applicants (International student services), and Policy 4.04 lists an original or certified copy of the secondary or college diploma with English translation on its admission checklist (policy 4.04).

Where Quincy College's pages differ

The international student services page names CED or WES and, in its FAQ, recommends SpanTran for evaluating a high school diploma from overseas.

The general admissions page says transcripts from a high school or college outside the US must be evaluated by CED. Policy 4.05 asks for any educational credential evaluator for transfer credit.

We have not resolved this; ask the Office of International Student Services which agency applies to you before ordering. Each agency sets its own translation rule.

Documents applicants usually translate

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Quincy College

  • Submit the translation with the diploma as part of the international application; evaluations and transcripts may be sent electronically by the school, CED or an official agency to Quincy College admissions (Admissions).

  • eVerbary delivers the certified translation as a signed PDF; we can also email it directly to the admissions office on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Quincy College that means we translate your diploma and transcripts; the CED or WES evaluation, when requested or needed for credit, is ordered by you from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Quincy College require a translation of my diploma?

Yes, an official English translation for any document not in English (International student services).

Do I need a credential evaluation to be admitted?

Only on request; for transfer credit, CED or WES is required (International student services).

Which agency should I use?

The international page names CED or WES and suggests SpanTran for a high school diploma; the admissions page names CED (International student services, Admissions).

Who pays the evaluation?

The student (Policy 4.05: transfer credit policy).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
