Queens requirements in detail
Translation (first-year)
The official high school transcript must be translated into English (Undergraduate admission process).
Who may translate
A school official or a certified translation service; Queens lists WES, IEE and The Evaluation Company among accepted services (Undergraduate admission process).
Transfer
An official, English-translated secondary transcript, plus a course-by-course evaluation from a service such as WES, IEE or TEC; documents to admissions@queens.edu (transfer admission process).
Graduate evaluation
A course-by-course evaluation of a foreign undergraduate degree from WES, IEE, TEC or another NACES member (graduate international admissions).
Financial documents
Bank statement or bank letter under six months old; documents not in English need a certified English translation (International graduate student admissions).
Graduate visa deadlines
Priority dates August 1, December 1 and April 15 (International graduate student admissions).
Who may translate, and what the named services do
Queens gives first-year applicants two options: a school official, or a certified translation service. It then lists WES, IEE and The Evaluation Company as accepted services (first-year admission process).
Those three are credential evaluation agencies, and the transfer page asks for the same names when it wants a course-by-course evaluation (Transferring to Queens: admission process).
A certified translation from eVerbary meets the "certified translation service" option for the transcript itself; if you also need an evaluation, the agency sets its own rule for the translation it receives.
Your school still sends the official transcript to Queens. The translation goes with it, or you send it to admissions with your application materials; we can email it directly to the admissions office on request.
Transfers and graduate applicants
International transfers send an official, English-translated high school transcript, translated by a school official or a certified service, plus a course-by-course evaluation of college work (transfer admission process).
Applicants with fewer than 24 college credits may be reviewed on their high school record.
Graduate applicants with an undergraduate degree from outside the US submit a course-by-course evaluation from WES, IEE, TEC or another NACES member.
Their financial documents, a bank statement or a bank letter under six months old, must come with a certified English translation if not in English (graduate international admissions). Questions go to graduateadmissions@queens.edu.

Uploading the translation to Queens
First-year applicants ask their school to send the official transcript to Queens, with the English translation (Undergraduate admission process); transfer documents go to admissions@queens.edu (Transferring to Queens: admission process).
Graduate applicants send the evaluation and financial documents to Graduate Admissions, graduateadmissions@queens.edu (International graduate student admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Queens that means we translate your transcripts and bank documents; the course-by-course evaluation needed by transfer and graduate applicants is ordered by you from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
