Requirements checked on October 28, 2026 from Pacific Oaks's public pages (sources).
Pacific Oaks College asks international applicants educated outside the US or Canada to complete a transcript evaluation through its preferred partner, International Education Evaluations (IEE), and to send official transcripts showing degree conferral with a NACES evaluation.
Pacific Oaks's evaluation agencies, such as IEE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation goes to IEE with your records first; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

Pacific Oaks requirements in detail
Translation
No rule of its own; the evaluation agency needs the translation before it can evaluate a record not in English.
Evaluation
Required for education completed outside the US or Canada, through IEE, the preferred partner; transcripts must show degree conferral with a NACES evaluation (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Who may translate
Set by the agency: IEE accepts certified translators, not the applicant, a notary or an uncertified translator (IEE).
Records
Official transcripts from your high school, undergraduate or graduate institution, indicating degree conferral (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Who applies as international
Anyone who is not a US citizen or permanent resident; DACA recipients and eligible non-citizens apply as domestic students (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Timing
Rolling admission with several start dates a year (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Online study from abroad, with an IEE evaluation
Pacific Oaks offers its undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs online to international students, in fields such as human development, early childhood education, social work and marriage and family therapy.
Its international admissions page lists six steps: talk to an enrollment counselor, apply online, upload documents, pay the fee, interview with the Admissions Committee and receive a decision.
Records from outside the US or Canada need a transcript evaluation through IEE, and the transcripts must show your degree conferral with a NACES evaluation.
Because Canadian records are treated like US records, only applicants educated elsewhere order an evaluation. If you are a permanent resident, a DACA recipient or an eligible non-citizen, you apply as a domestic student, but foreign records still need to be readable in English.
What IEE asks for the translation
IEE accepts a word-for-word translation with a signed certification of accuracy from a certified translator, and generally accepts translations from a university in your home country or your embassy; it does not accept translations by the applicant, a notary public or an uncertified translator.
It also sells its own translation as an add-on, at $60 per page. If you use another NACES member, WES, for example, wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator.
Need a certified translation for Pacific Oaks?

Documents applicants usually translate
- High school diploma and transcripts
- Undergraduate transcripts and degree certificate
- Graduate transcripts and degree certificate, for doctoral applicants
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Pacific Oaks
Send the translation with your records to IEE; the evaluation is part of the documents you upload to your Pacific Oaks application (Pacific Oaks: international students, IEE).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Pacific Oaks that means we translate your diplomas and transcripts for IEE; the evaluation is ordered by you from IEE or another NACES member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Pacific Oaks require a credential evaluation?
Yes, for education completed outside the US or Canada, through IEE, its preferred partner (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Can I translate my own transcripts for IEE?
No. IEE does not accept translations by the applicant; it wants a certified translator's word-for-word translation (IEE: frequently asked questions).
I studied in Canada. Do I need an evaluation?
No. The rule covers education outside the US or Canada (Pacific Oaks: international students).
I am a DACA recipient. Do I apply as international?
No. DACA recipients, permanent residents and eligible non-citizens apply as domestic students (Pacific Oaks: international students).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
