Northwest Florida State College asks that transcripts from foreign institutions be evaluated by WES, Josef Silny & Associates or any current NACES member, and if your school does not issue documents in English, that you submit precise word-for-word translations of all your credentials; it points students to a translation company as one option.

Northwest Florida State College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The evaluation is ordered and paid by you from the agency; we do not provide it.

Evaluation

WES, Josef Silny & Associates or any current NACES member, at your cost; NWF State decides which credits transfer (Transcripts: foreign transcripts).

Where it goes

Deadlines (F-1)

Fall April 1, spring October 1, summer February 1, application and documents (International admissions).

Word-for-word translations for the agency

NWF State's transcripts page puts the translation on you: if the school you attended does not issue documents in English, submit precise word-for-word translations of all your credentials, and it names a translation company you may contact (Transcripts: foreign transcripts).

That matches what WES asks: an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, in the same order as the original, not one made by the applicant.

If you choose Josef Silny instead, it asks for translations made in the US by ATA-certified translators; eVerbary can assign one on request for the languages ATA certifies.

High school only, or university too

High school graduates send the original high school transcript to WES for a document-by-document evaluation.

University students send university transcripts for a course-by-course evaluation in addition to the high school transcripts, and NWF State may ask for more high school documents (Transcripts: foreign transcripts). Translate the high school diploma and grades in either case.

Where Northwest Florida State's pages differ

The transcripts page asks you to submit word-for-word translations and suggests a translation company.

The international admissions page tells F-1 applicants to send high school transcripts to a NACES evaluator "for translation and evaluation".

We have not resolved this; WES does not translate documents itself, so with WES you supply the translation.

  • University transcripts, for the course-by-course evaluation

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to NWF State

  • The translations go to WES or the other NACES agency with your original transcripts; the agency mails the evaluation to the Registrar at Northwest Florida State College, 100 College Boulevard E., Niceville, FL 32578 (International admissions).

  • On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For NWF State that means we translate your credentials; the evaluation by WES, Josef Silny or another NACES member is ordered by you.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of translation does NWF State want?

Precise word-for-word translations of all your credentials (Transcripts: foreign transcripts).

Can I use a translation company?

Yes. NWF State itself suggests contacting a translation company to have your documents translated (Transcripts: foreign transcripts).

Which evaluation do I need if I only finished high school?

A document-by-document evaluation of your original high school transcript by WES (Transcripts: foreign transcripts).

When are the international deadlines?
