NTCC requirements in detail

Translation

Official transcripts from your secondary school, translated into English (Admissions for international students, requirements).

Who may translate

Evaluation

None named for admission on the international page (Admissions for international students).

US college records

Transcripts from each US college attended, with at least a C average (Admissions for international students).

Financial documents

Evidence of Financial Support signed by applicant, sponsor and bank official with an official seal; a bank statement in English and US funds is acceptable (Admissions for international students).

Deadlines and fees

Fall July 1, spring November 1; $50 application fee and a $500 deposit (Admissions for international students, requirements).

What NTCC needs in English

NTCC reads your secondary school record directly: the transcripts must be official and translated into English, and the list of requirements repeats the rule (requirements).

The financial file also has to be readable in English: the bank statement is accepted in English and in US dollars, and the support statement needs the bank official's signature and seal (Admissions for international students).

A translated bank letter keeps its figures in the original currency, so ask your bank for the US-dollar version where it can issue one.

English proficiency and transfers

NTCC requires a TOEFL score of 79 on the internet-based test, or a passing Texas Success Initiative English score, and assesses every new student on arrival (Admissions for international students).

F-1 students moving from another US school send a transfer clearance form completed by their foreign student advisor and must have been full-time the previous semester (Admissions for international students).

Need a certified translation for NTCC?

  • Secondary school diploma or leaving certificate
  • Bank statement or sponsor letter, if not in English
  • Immunization records, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to NTCC

  • Return the application, transcripts with their English translations and financial documents to the Associate Director of Student Services in Mount Pleasant listed on the requirements sheet (International student requirements (PDF)).

  • We can send the translation directly to the admissions office by email on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
