NHCC at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
NHCC's international admissions page asks for records professionally translated, with the original (international admissions), and its admission procedure for transcripts authorized by a certified translator (Procedure 3.4.1); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets both. NHCC requirements in detail
Translation
Academic records in English or professionally translated, English and original version (International admissions); transcripts translated into English and authorized by a certified translator (procedure).
Who may translate
A professional or certified translator.
What to send
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for every applicant; the Diploma Equivalencies list shows which document counts for each country (list).
Where to upload
Upload links for immigration, academic and financial documents on NHCC's enrollment site (International admissions).
Foreign college credit
A course-by-course report from a NACES member, such as ECE, WES or SpanTran (International admissions), officially stamped and mailed by the evaluator (procedure).
Deadlines (F-1)
New students: May 1 for fall, October 1 for spring. F-1 transfers: July 1 and December 1 (International admissions).
Financial documents
A signed, notarized Financial Certificate with checking or savings bank statements; $24,048 for the current year (International admissions).
Which diploma NHCC wants from your country
NHCC publishes a short list of the documents it treats as a US high school diploma equivalent (Diploma Equivalencies).
For Mexico it is the upper-secondary Bachillerato; for Colombia the Bachiller certificate; for Ecuador the Bachillerato; for Congo the Diplôme d'État; for Vietnam the upper secondary graduation diploma.
China needs both the senior middle school graduation certificate and the National College Entrance Exam report, and Ethiopia both the school leaving and the higher education entrance exam reports.
If your country is not listed, NHCC asks you to write to international@nhcc.edu.
Whatever the document, NHCC wants it in English or professionally translated, uploaded with the original version (International admissions). Translate the exam reports in full, with their scores, when your country's list names two documents.
Two pages, the same rule
The admissions page and NHCC Procedure 3.4.1 agree on the translation in different words: "professionally translated" on one, transcripts "authorized by a certified translator" on the other (procedure).
The procedure also asks for official transcripts from every high school, college, university and English-language program attended, and official exam results where an exam completes secondary school.
For the bank statement, the procedure sets a limit of four months old at submission, and an update if admission is deferred.
Credit for university courses abroad is reviewed only after a NACES evaluator mails an officially stamped course-by-course report.
NHCC names ECE, WES and SpanTran and says the agencies are independent of the college (International admissions). WES requires a professional translator; ECE accepts any word-for-word translation.
Need a certified translation for NHCC?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school diploma or the country equivalent on NHCC's list
- Secondary exit exam reports (for example China, Ethiopia, WAEC countries)
- College or university transcripts, for a course-by-course evaluation
- Bank statements for the Financial Certificate
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to NHCC
Upload the diploma or certificate with its translation through the academic records link on the international admissions page, in the same step as the original (International admissions).
Immigration documents and the financial certificate with bank statements each have their own upload link on the same page.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For NHCC that means we translate your diploma, exam reports and transcripts; the course-by-course evaluation for credit comes from a NACES member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can translate my documents for NHCC?
A professional translator: NHCC asks for records professionally translated (International admissions) and authorized by a certified translator (Procedure 3.4.1: admission procedure). eVerbary provides certified translations.
Do I send the original too?
Yes. NHCC asks for the English and the original version (International admissions).
What counts as a high school diploma from my country?
See NHCC's Diploma Equivalencies list; if your country is not there, email international@nhcc.edu (US high school diploma equivalents from other countries (PDF)).
Which agency should I use for credit?
Any NACES member; NHCC names ECE, WES and SpanTran (International admissions).
How old can my bank statement be?
The procedure says no more than four months at submission (Procedure 3.4.1: admission procedure).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
