Requirements checked on October 28, 2026 from Morton's public pages (sources).

Morton College requires international applicants to submit a foreign credential evaluation and says school transcripts must be translated into English, without saying who must translate them.

Morton College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

The evaluation comes from a NACES member (the 2026-27 catalog names ECE or WES for college transcripts), and that evaluation is something we do not provide.

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Morton's international requirements say school transcripts must be translated into English and do not restrict who translates (international students); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 28, 2026.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript

This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice

  • Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
  • The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
  • Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
  • The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

Worth knowing about Morton

Translation and evaluation

Morton asks for both, not one or the other.

ECE or WES

The catalog's agencies for college transcripts.

June 15

Every fall requirement due; October 16 for spring.

Morton requirements in detail

Translation

School transcripts must be translated into English (International students); the catalog says the same of college transcripts (catalog).

Who may translate

Evaluation

A foreign credential evaluation is required; Morton recommends a NACES member and may accept others with prior approval (International students).

College transcripts

The official evaluation must come from ECE or WES (catalog).

High school transcripts

ECE or WES recommended, or any other NACES member (catalog).

Where documents go

Office of Registration and Records, 3801 S. Central Avenue, Cicero, IL 60804 (International students).

Deadlines

All requirements by June 15 for fall and October 16 for spring (International students).

Two steps: the translation, then the evaluation

Morton lists the foreign credential evaluation and the English translation of school transcripts as separate requirements (International students).

In practice the translation comes first: the evaluation agency reads your records in English, and Morton receives both.

Translate every page of the transcript, the diploma or completion certificate, and the legend that explains the grades, so the agency does not return the file.

Proof of high school completion is also on the list, so applicants with only a secondary diploma should translate the diploma or leaving certificate as well as the transcript.

Where Morton's pages differ

The admissions page recommends a NACES member and says other evaluations may be accepted with prior approval; it lists a minimum TOEFL iBT of 65 (admissions page).

The 2026-27 catalog says the official evaluation of college transcripts must come from ECE or WES, recommends ECE or WES for high school transcripts while allowing any NACES member, and lists a TOEFL iBT minimum of 80 (catalog).

If you have college records, choosing ECE or WES satisfies both pages.

Who can study at Morton on a visa

The catalog says only F-1 visa holders may study; B1/B2 visitors must change status first, and Morton cannot assist or advise in those cases (catalog). Transfer students from another US college fill out a Transfer Clearance form and send official college transcripts (International students).

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.

  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Morton

  • Morton asks that all international requirements be submitted to the Office of Registration and Records at 3801 S. Central Avenue, Cicero, IL 60804; questions go to admissions@morton.edu (International students).

  • Send the certified translation to the evaluation agency with your records, and include a copy with the documents you submit to Morton.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Morton that means we translate your transcripts and diploma; the foreign credential evaluation comes from a NACES member such as ECE or WES.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
