Monmouth recommends SpanTran (The Evaluation Company) for a transcript evaluation, which we do not provide, and graduate records must reach it in an unopened envelope from the university or agency.
Monmouth at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Monmouth's undergraduate international requirements list official transcripts "translated in English" (undergraduate international admission) and its graduate page asks for a reputable translation (graduate international admission), without restricting who translates; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Undergraduates: translated transcripts, SpanTran if you need an evaluation
For first-year and transfer applicants Monmouth lists official original academic transcripts, translated in English, alongside the application, the $60 fee and, for freshmen, a recommendation letter (undergraduate international admission).
It names SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, as its recommended evaluation service, with a custom application that selects the Course Analysis at a discounted rate.
If you go through TEC, its own rule applies: an outside translation must come from a translator individually certified by ATA (TEC).
Graduate applicants: the unopened envelope
Graduate requirements vary by program, but the international page sets one rule for all: a complete set of official or attested documents, including all transcripts, marksheets and degree certificates, sent by your undergraduate school, and every document must reach Monmouth in an unopened envelope from the university or the agency.
In some cases Monmouth accepts an official evaluation from a reputable agency instead. Documents not in English must be accompanied by a reputable translation (graduate international admission).
The page does not say how a translation you order yourself should travel with records your school mails. Ask the Office of Graduate Admission before ordering, or give the certified translation to your university so it goes in the same envelope.

Uploading the translation to Monmouth
Undergraduates send their translated transcripts with the application; questions go to admission@monmouth.edu or 732-571-3456 (International undergraduate admissions).
Graduate records, and their translations, reach Monmouth in an unopened envelope from your university or an evaluation agency (International graduate admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Monmouth that means the SpanTran Course Analysis, or another agency evaluation, is ordered from the agency; we cannot mail records on behalf of your university.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Monmouth accept a translation from a translation company?
Its pages ask for transcripts translated in English and, for graduate study, a reputable translation, without naming who must translate (undergraduate, graduate).
Do I need a SpanTran evaluation for Monmouth?
Monmouth recommends SpanTran for an international transcript evaluation and offers a discounted Course Analysis application (International undergraduate admissions).
How must graduate documents be sent?
In an unopened envelope from the university or agency, with a reputable translation if not in English (International graduate admissions).
Does any document need notarization?
The Affidavit of Financial Support in the I-20 application is notarized (International undergraduate admissions); eVerbary can add notarization to a translation at checkout for $34.90 per order if you need it.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
