The MD Anderson School of Health Professions publishes no translation rule of its own: applicants who completed any college coursework outside the US must have their transcripts or mark sheets evaluated course by course and grade by grade, with US degree equivalency, by an agency on its approved list, which includes ECE, WES, IERF and FCSA.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.
What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

The UTHealth Houston Office of the Registrar serves the School of Health Professions (SHP academic catalog: admissions and enrollment).

An evaluation that certification boards will recognize
The School of Health Professions trains clinical laboratory scientists, cytotechnologists, histotechnologists and other health professionals, and its agency list points to the American Society for Clinical Pathology for the most current information (acceptable evaluation agencies).
The UTHealth Houston Registrar, which serves the school, says applicants to Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytogenetic Technology, Cytotechnology, Histotechnology and Molecular Genetic Technology must use an agency listed by ASCP (UTHealth Registrar).
What the report must contain is specific: anyone who completed all or part of their college coursework outside the US submits transcripts or mark sheets for a course-by-course and grade-by-grade evaluation by an approved, accredited US agency (admissions and enrollment), with US degree equivalency (SHP: acceptable evaluation agencies). A general, document-only report will not do.
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, not your own. ECE accepts complete, literal translations, or sells an $85 waiver to translate internally for the report.
IERF asks for typed, line-by-line translations and may require professional ones. FCSA accepts certified translations from most professional agencies.
Josef Silny accepts outside translations made in the US only from ATA-certified translators; eVerbary can assign one on request through a free quote.
