College credit from abroad needs a course-by-course evaluation from an agency such as WES or The Evaluation Company, which we do not provide.
LWTech at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
LWTech's High School Completion page says transcripts "must be translated" and its application asks for transcripts in English, without naming a translator type (High School Completion, how to apply); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that translation. LWTech requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts for coursework equivalent to US grades 9 to 12 must be translated; the application asks for transcripts in English (LWTech: International Student High School Completion, LWTech International Programs: apply for admissions).
Who may translate
Not stated.
Math classes
HSC asks that math classes be identified as US subjects: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus (LWTech: International Student High School Completion).
Who evaluates high school
High School Completion personnel, not an agency (LWTech: International Student High School Completion).
College credit
A course-by-course evaluation from an evaluation agency; course descriptions may also be required. LWTech commonly works with The Evaluation Company and WES (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
Delivery
Directly from the issuing institution or agency, or hand-delivered in the sealed envelope; email attachments are not accepted (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
Timing
Up to 4 to 6 weeks after LWTech receives the transcript (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
High School Completion: translated transcripts and US math names
International students who have completed at least the equivalent of 9th grade can finish a high school diploma at LWTech, or earn an associate degree and then request the diploma (High School Completion).
You submit an official high school transcript with your application showing 9th grade classes and scores, and transcripts for every completed year equivalent to grades 9 to 12, translated. High School Completion staff evaluate them.
LWTech adds that math classes must be "specifically translated" into US subjects such as Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Pre-calculus.
A certified translation reproduces the course title as it appears on your transcript; if your school called a course "Mathematics II", that is what the translation says.
Keep the topics or syllabus of each math course at hand, and ask High School Completion staff how they match them to US subjects. See also high school diploma translation.
Credit for college study abroad
For an international college transcript, LWTech accepts a course-by-course evaluation from an evaluation agency and may also ask for course descriptions (transferring to LWTech).
It names The Evaluation Company and WES as agencies it commonly works with.
Their translation rules differ: WES accepts a word-for-word translation by a professional translation service, while The Evaluation Company wants an outside translator certified by the American Translators Association, which eVerbary can provide on request through a free quote.
LWTech does not accept email attachments, even from the agency itself; reports arrive directly or are hand-delivered in the original sealed envelope to Enrollment Services, and an opened envelope is not accepted (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to LWTech
High school transcripts and their translations are submitted with the international student application (LWTech: International Student High School Completion, LWTech International Programs: apply for admissions). eVerbary can also email the translation directly to LWTech's international office on request.
For college credit, the translation goes to the evaluation agency with your records; the agency sends its course-by-course report directly to LWTech Enrollment Services (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
At LWTech that means the course-by-course evaluation for college credit comes from an agency such as WES or The Evaluation Company, and the matching of your math courses to US subjects is done by High School Completion staff; we translate the transcripts as issued.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to translate my high school transcripts for LWTech?
Yes, for High School Completion: transcripts for grades 9 to 12 must be translated (LWTech: International Student High School Completion). LWTech does not say who must translate.
Will eVerbary rename my math classes as Algebra 1 or Geometry?
No. A certified translation keeps the course titles of the original. LWTech's HSC staff evaluate the transcripts (LWTech: International Student High School Completion); ask them how they match courses to US subjects.
Which agency should I use for college credit at LWTech?
LWTech commonly works with The Evaluation Company and WES and wants a course-by-course report (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
Can the agency email my evaluation to LWTech?
LWTech says it cannot accept email attachments, even directly from the agency; check delivery options with Enrollment Services (LWTech: transferring to LWTech).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
