ICOHS College requires an English translation of a high school diploma or postsecondary credential obtained abroad, and does not say who must translate it.
ICOHS College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Students using federal financial aid must also have credentials from abroad evaluated for US equivalency, and international students need an evaluation by an approved evaluator; that evaluation is something we do not provide.
ICOHS at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
The ICOHS catalog says an English translation must be provided when credentials are obtained abroad, without restricting who translates (2026 catalog, p. 17); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 28, 2026.

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

ICOHS requirements in detail
Translation
Credentials obtained abroad need an English translation (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Who may translate
Not stated (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Proof of education
A high school diploma, GED or postsecondary education, with official high school attestation (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Financial aid
Credentials obtained abroad must be evaluated for US equivalency to meet FAFSA eligibility (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
International students
Evaluation of foreign transcripts by an approved evaluator, TOEFL 79 or equivalent, and financial documents (ICOHS: admissions for international students).
Transfer credit
C or 2.0 minimum, usually from the last five years (ten for practicing professionals), up to 33% of a program; no articulation agreements (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Translation for everyone, evaluation for some
The ICOHS catalog applies one rule to every applicant: if your diploma or other credential was obtained abroad, you provide an English translation. ICOHS does not name a translator or ask for notarization.
Whether you also need an evaluation depends on how you pay and who you are: students using federal financial aid need credentials from abroad evaluated for US equivalency to meet FAFSA eligibility, and international students need an evaluation by an approved evaluator (international admissions).
ICOHS does not publish a list of approved evaluators, so ask admissions before ordering one.
ICOHS teaches massage therapy, holistic health, information technology, cybersecurity, AI business and medical billing and coding.
Its massage programs consider transfer courses only from schools approved by the California Massage Therapy Council (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)); your diploma from abroad still needs a translation for admission.
Where ICOHS's pages differ
The international students page lists financial documents for a student visa and warns applicants not to book travel before the visa is approved. The 2026 catalog says ICOHS currently does not offer visa services. If you need an I-20, confirm with admissions before applying.

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to ICOHS
Bring or send the original-language credential with its English translation to ICOHS admissions during the admissions interview process (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
For transfer credit, provide official transcripts during admission; ICOHS reviews them case by case and answers within 14 days (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For ICOHS that means we translate your diploma and transcripts; the US-equivalency evaluation needed for financial aid, or by international students, comes from an evaluation agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does ICOHS require a translation of my foreign diploma?
Yes, an English translation of credentials obtained abroad (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Who can translate it?
ICOHS does not say (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Do I need an evaluation to use financial aid?
Yes. Credentials obtained abroad must be evaluated for US equivalency to meet FAFSA eligibility (ICOHS College 2026 catalog (PDF)).
Which evaluators are approved?
ICOHS's pages say "an approved evaluator" without a list (ICOHS: admissions for international students); ask admissions.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
