How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Grayson College asks F-1 applicants from outside the US for an official high school transcript translated to English, and an official, notarized translation attached to any bank statement or letter not in English; it does not say who must translate.

Grayson College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary, and notarization can be added at checkout.

Everything must arrive together in one envelope or one scanned email, and SpanTran is the evaluation service Grayson recommends.

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Grayson asks for the high school transcript translated to English (application and forms) and an official, notarized translation of bank documents (international students), without restricting who translates; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary, notarized, meets both. Grayson requirements in detail

Translation

Official high school transcript translated to English (International application and forms).

Bank documents

An official, notarized translation attached to any bank statement or letter in another language (International students).

Who may translate

Evaluation

Not listed among the F-1 documents; SpanTran is the recommended evaluation service, with a discounted Grayson application (International students).

Funds

$16,500 per nine-month term, in original statements or a bank letter dated within three months of the semester start; $3,000 more per dependent (International students).

How to send

All together in one envelope to the Department of International Students, 6101 Grayson Drive, Denison, TX 75020-8299, or scanned to the international email (International students).

Two translations, two standards

Grayson treats the transcript and the bank papers differently.

The official high school transcript must be translated to English (International application and forms); bank statements or letters in another language need an official, notarized translation attached to them, and must be dated within three months of the semester start, with the sponsor's name and the currency (International students).

With eVerbary, order both as certified translations and add notarization at checkout for $34.90 per order. Because the bank document expires after three months, translate it last.

One envelope, and an evaluation if asked

After you apply online, Grayson emails the list of documents you need, and they must be mailed together in a single envelope or sent as scans to the international email; sending them separately may lead to denial of the application (International students).

Grayson recommends SpanTran for transcript evaluations.

If you are asked for one, SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, wants an outside translator certified by ATA or translates in-house; for that case, ask eVerbary for a free quote and say it is for TEC.

  • Bank statement or bank letter (notarized translation)
  • Sponsor's affidavit of support, if not in English
  • Any additional transcripts

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Grayson

  • Put the original documents and the translations in the same envelope to the Department of International Students, or scan them together to the international admissions email (International students).

  • We deliver the certified translation as a PDF; a notarized translation can be ordered at checkout.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Grayson that means we translate your transcripts and bank papers, notarized if you choose; an evaluation, if Grayson asks for one, is ordered by you from SpanTran or another agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Grayson College accept an eVerbary translation?

Grayson asks for the transcript translated to English and does not say who translates (International application and forms); a certified translation from a professional service qualifies.

Does my bank statement translation need to be notarized?

Yes. Grayson asks for an official, notarized translation attached to the bank document (International students); eVerbary adds notarization for $34.90 per order.

Can I send my documents separately?

No. Grayson asks for one envelope, or one set of scans, and may deny an application otherwise (International students).

Does Grayson require an evaluation?

It is not listed among the F-1 documents; Grayson recommends SpanTran if you need one (International students).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
