How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Fresno Pacific University requires anyone who studied at a high school, college or university abroad, international or domestic, to submit a certified English translation of the transcripts and an evaluation from one of its approved agencies: IERF, SpanTran (The Evaluation Company), WES or ECE.

It does not say who must translate. Fresno Pacific University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary; the evaluation is a separate report, which we do not produce.

Fresno Pacific at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Fresno Pacific asks for "a certified English translation" and an approved-agency evaluation for baccalaureate and graduate programs, without naming a translator (foreign transcript evaluation); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Fresno Pacific requirements in detail

Translation

A certified English translation of the transcripts, for baccalaureate and graduate or seminary programs (Foreign transcript evaluation).

Who may translate

Not stated.

Evaluation

By an FPU-approved agency: IERF, SpanTran, WES or ECE, for international and domestic students alike (Foreign transcript evaluation).

Freshman report

IERF Detail Report, SpanTran Course Analysis, WES Course-by-Course or ECE General with Grade Average (Foreign transcript evaluation).

Transfer and graduate report

IERF Detail Report with Course Level Identification, SpanTran Divisional Course Analysis, WES or ECE course by course (Foreign transcript evaluation).

Where it goes

Evaluations to the Registrar's Office in Fresno; graduate documents to the Graduate Admission Office by fax, email or mail (evaluation page, graduate).

Deadlines (undergraduate)

May 1 for fall, November 1 for spring (International application deadlines).

Which evaluation to order at each level

Fresno Pacific's Foreign Transcript Evaluation page names the report for each agency and each kind of applicant.

Freshmen with no college classes order an IERF Detail Report, a SpanTran Course Analysis, a WES Course-by-Course Evaluation or an ECE General with Grade Average (after checking with the International Office that they have no credits to transfer).

Transfer and graduate or seminary applicants order the course-level versions: IERF's Detail Report with Course Level Identification, SpanTran's Divisional Course Analysis, or a WES or ECE course-by-course.

Graduate applicants must ask for a course-by-course report rather than a document report.

The rule applies to domestic students too: anyone who attended a foreign high school, college or university needs the evaluation for those courses to count, and applicants must disclose all of their education history regardless of the level they want to enter (Foreign transcript evaluation). For the school record, see high school diploma translation.

One translation for FPU and the agency

Both baccalaureate and graduate rules pair the evaluation with a certified English translation (Foreign transcript evaluation), and the graduate page says all foreign transcripts or diplomas must be accompanied by one.

Each agency also has its own translation rule; WES, for example, wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and not by the applicant.

A certified professional translation meets both, so order it once and send copies to FPU and to the agency.

Undergraduates send official copies of their transcripts to FPU; the application is free, and transfers already in the US complete a transfer form with their adviser (International undergraduate admission).

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Fresno Pacific

  • Send the certified translation with official copies of your transcripts to FPU admissions, and the agency sends its report to the Registrar's Office, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave. #2008, Fresno (undergraduate, evaluation page).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Fresno Pacific that means we translate your records; the IERF, SpanTran, WES or ECE evaluation is ordered by you.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
