Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Creighton's public pages (sources).
Creighton University asks international applicants for a certified translation of all high school transcripts, and transfer students of all university transcripts, if they are not in English; the catalog does not say who must translate.
Creighton University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transfer applicants who attended a university outside the US also need an official credit evaluation from a NACES-approved service, which is something we do not produce.
Creighton at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Creighton's catalog lists a "certified translation of all high school transcripts (if in a language other than English)" and the same for university transcripts (catalog: international students), without restricting who translates; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Creighton requirements in detail
Translation
Certified translation of all high school transcripts, and of all university transcripts for transfers, if not in English (Undergraduate catalog: admission of international students).
Who may translate
Transcript for review
Official or unofficial high school transcript, with the grading scale and an English translation if in another language (International student admission requirements).
Transfer evaluation
University outside the US: an official credit evaluation by a NACES-approved service; The Evaluation Company is recommended, with a custom Creighton application (Undergraduate and transfer admission requirements).
Graduate
Original, complete credentials with a certified translation of university transcripts "from a recognized credential evaluation service, such as" WES (Graduate catalog: admission of international graduate students).
Other documents
Diplomas or exam results marking secondary completion (IB, national exams) and the Certification of Available Finances with bank letters (Undergraduate catalog: admission of international students).
Where to send
Student portal, electronically, or mail to Undergraduate Admissions, 2500 California Plaza, Omaha (International student admission requirements).
Certified translations for the undergraduate application
Creighton's undergraduate catalog lists, among the required documents, official high school transcripts and a certified translation of all high school transcripts if they are in a language other than English; transfer students add official university transcripts and a certified translation of those (catalog).
The admissions page is more relaxed for the first review: an official or unofficial high school transcript is fine, as long as it shows the scale you were graded on and comes with an English translation if needed (admission requirements).
Certificates, diplomas or exam results that mark the end of secondary school, such as IB or national exam results, are part of the file too, and need the same translation when they are not in English.
Transfer credit and graduate programs
If you attended a university outside the US, Creighton requires an official credit evaluation by a NACES-approved service and recommends The Evaluation Company, which has a custom application for Creighton at a discounted rate (transfer requirements).
TEC wants outside translators certified by ATA, so for a TEC evaluation ask eVerbary for a translator individually certified by ATA; other NACES members such as WES accept a standard professional translation.
The graduate catalog words its rule differently, asking for a certified translation of all university transcripts "from a recognized credential evaluation service, such as the World Education Services" (graduate catalog).
WES itself does not translate documents and asks applicants to supply a professional translation (WES), so a certified translation sent to WES with your records is how that step is usually done; each program sets its English proficiency standards.
Need a certified translation for Creighton?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts and grading scale
- Diploma or national exam results (IB, A Levels, baccalaureate)
- University transcripts, for transfer and graduate applicants
- Bank letters for the Certification of Available Finances
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Creighton
Upload the transcript and its translation to your student portal or send them electronically or by mail to Undergraduate Admissions (International student admission requirements); the evaluation agency sends its report to Creighton for transfer credit (Undergraduate and transfer admission requirements).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Creighton, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Creighton that means we translate your transcripts and certificates; the NACES credit evaluation for transfer students is ordered by you from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Creighton require a certified translation?
Yes, of high school and university transcripts not in English (Undergraduate catalog: admission of international students).
Can I send an unofficial transcript first?
Yes. Creighton accepts an official or unofficial high school transcript for the application, with an English translation if needed (International student admission requirements).
Which evaluation do transfer students need?
An official credit evaluation by a NACES-approved service; The Evaluation Company is recommended (Undergraduate and transfer admission requirements).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for a TEC evaluation?
Yes, on request through a free quote: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian at $34.95 per page, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian at $44.95. ATA certifies no other languages into English.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
