How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Metropolitan Community College in Omaha publishes no translation rule of its own: international transcripts must first be evaluated by any current NACES member, as a course-by-course report sent directly to the Registrar's Office, before MCC reviews them for credit.
MCC Omaha's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You order the translation first and send it to the agency with your records; the agency then writes the evaluation, which we do not provide.

MCC Omaha requirements in detail
Translation
MCC states no translation rule; international transcripts reach it through a NACES evaluation (Transferring credits to MCC). The translation is what the agency needs before it can evaluate a document not in English.
Who may translate
Set by the evaluation agency. WES and ECE accept a translation from a professional service (see below).
Evaluation
Course-by-course, from any current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, then reviewed under MCC's own transfer guidelines (Transferring credits to MCC).
Where it goes
The official report goes directly to the MCC Registrar's Office, PO Box 3777, Omaha, NE 68103 (Transferring credits to MCC).
What is evaluated
Courses that belong to your declared program of study; others only on request. Transfer credits are not counted in your MCC GPA (Transferring credits to MCC).
F-1 applications
No late applications; all supplemental items and English proficiency must be met by each quarter's deadline (how to apply).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
MCC accepts any current NACES member, and each sets its own translation rule.
WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency or another professional service; it does not accept translations by applicants and does not translate documents itself.
ECE asks for complete, word-for-word translations in the same format as the original and lets applicants prepare them themselves; for $85 it sells a Translation Waiver, under which ECE translates internally for the report and no translation is delivered to you.
How MCC uses the report
The NACES report is the first step, not the last.
MCC reviews international transcripts again under its own transcript evaluation guidelines and policies, evaluates the courses that pertain to your declared program, and posts them without counting them in your GPA (Transferring credits to MCC).
Courses outside your major are reviewed only if you file a specific course evaluation request, and once credit is posted it stays on your record.
Some courses are accepted only if taken within a time limit, so ask the agency for the course-by-course format and translate the full transcript, including the grading scale and course titles.
For F-1 students, International Student Services asks for official transcripts from other colleges by email directly from the school to iss@mccneb.edu, and the Registrar decides which credits transfer (international FAQ).

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.

Uploading the translation to MCC Omaha
For international transcripts, the translation is not sent to MCC: it goes to the NACES agency with your records (WES, for example, takes it in your WES account). The agency sends the official course-by-course report directly to the MCC Registrar's Office (Transferring credits to MCC).
Transcripts from US colleges reach the Registrar by mail, in a sealed envelope in person at Fort Omaha Campus Building 23, or electronically through a provider such as Parchment to transcripts@mccneb.edu (Transferring credits to MCC).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For MCC Omaha that means we translate your records for the agency; the course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from a NACES member after the translation, and the agency sends it to the Registrar.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does MCC Omaha require a certified translation of my transcript?
MCC itself publishes no translation rule. It requires a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES member (Transferring credits to MCC), and the agency sets the translation rule: WES, for example, wants one from a professional translator (WES).
Which evaluation agency should I use for MCC Omaha?
Any current NACES member, with a course-by-course report sent directly to the Registrar (Transferring credits to MCC). Compare the agencies' translation rules before ordering the translation.
Will MCC count every course on my foreign transcript?
MCC evaluates the courses that pertain to your declared program; others only on request, and transfer credits do not enter your GPA (Transferring credits to MCC).
Can I apply after the deadline?
No. MCC does not accept late applications; an incomplete application is withdrawn and you are directed to apply for the next quarter (International students: how to apply).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
