How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
The College of Central Florida in Ocala requires a credential evaluation of all academic records earned outside the US, at minimum a document-by-document evaluation of the high school transcript and diploma, from IEE, Josef Silny, The Evaluation Company, WES or any active NACES member, and if the documents are not in English an official English translation as well.
CF does not say who must make the translation; College of Central Florida accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The evaluation is ordered by you from the agency; we do not provide it.
CF at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
CF asks for "an official English translation" of documents not in English, alongside the evaluation, and does not restrict who translates (foreign transcripts); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 26, 2026.

The translation CF asks for, and the agency's own rule
CF lists the translation as its own requirement: if your documents are not in English, you need an official English translation besides the evaluation, and both costs are yours (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
The same translation also serves the agency, but each agency sets its rules.
WES wants a professional translator and rejects applicants' own translations; IEE wants a certified translator and rejects translations by a notary public.
The Evaluation Company says an outside translator must be certified by the American Translators Association, and Josef Silny asks for ATA-certified translators in the US. If you choose either, eVerbary can assign an ATA-certified translator on request (see below).
Foreign college credit: now or never
Credit from a non-US college or university is optional at CF, but it can be added only during your initial application.
CF says it may not process or add such credits once you are in the middle of your studies, and that choosing not to submit them means no credit for that coursework (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
If you are applying to a bachelor's program, the course-by-course evaluation must include a GPA calculation.
So translate your university transcripts together with the high school diploma and grades, and open both evaluations before the first semester.
Students placed by one of CF's official educational agency partners may have high school documents sent directly in English, reviewed by the partner, without a separate evaluation (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
Need a certified translation for CF?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcript and diploma or certificate
- College or university transcripts, for the course-by-course evaluation
- Degree certificates
- Sponsor bank letter or statement, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to CF
The agency sends the evaluation to CF; your translation goes to the agency with the records, and a copy can accompany the documents you send CF (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
Passport copies go by email to international@cf.edu; original financial documents are mailed to International Student Services, Bryant Student Union Building 5-102, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala, FL 34474 (International admission process and requirements).
On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for CF, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For CF that means we translate your records; the document-by-document or course-by-course evaluation is ordered by you from the agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need both an evaluation and a translation for CF?
Yes, if your documents are not in English: an evaluation and an official English translation, both paid by you (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
Which evaluation companies does CF accept?
IEE, Josef Silny, The Evaluation Company, WES or any active NACES member (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
Can I add my foreign university credits after I start at CF?
No. They can be added only during your initial application, before the first semester (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
I went to high school in the US. Do I need an evaluation?
No. Graduates of an accredited US high school send official transcripts directly to CF (Foreign transcripts credential evaluation).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for CF?
Yes, on request, for example if you use The Evaluation Company or Josef Silny. Ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for College of Central Florida and needs a translator individually certified by ATA. ATA certifies Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) and Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page) into English; no other languages.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
