CityU at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
CityU's international application process asks for certified English translations and does not restrict who makes them (application process); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

CityU requirements in detail
Translation
Diplomas and transcripts in the original language with certified English translations, where they are not in English (CityU: international application process).
Who may translate
Not stated.
Originals or copies
Originals or certified copies of the diplomas and transcripts (CityU: international application process).
Where they go
By mail or courier to the International Student Office, 521 Wall Street, Suite 100, Seattle, or by email directly from the issuing institution (CityU: international application process).
By email to your advisor
Financial Declaration Form, bank statement, sponsor statement and proof of English; an advisor writes within three business days of the online application (CityU: international application process).
Deadlines
Overseas applicants: August 1 for October, November 1 for January, February 1 for April, May 1 for July; F-1 transfers in the US a month later (CityU: international application process).
Two channels: email for money, paper for records
CityU splits the application.
Online you send the form, the $50 fee and a passport copy; an admissions advisor then contacts you within three business days, and financial documents and proof of English go to that advisor by email (application process).
Academic records do not: originals or certified copies of diplomas and transcripts, in the original language and with certified English translations, go by mail or courier to the International Student Office, unless the issuing institution emails them itself.
If your bank statement or sponsor letter is not in English, the page does not say whether it must be translated; ask your advisor. eVerbary can email the certified translations directly to the International Student Office on request, or mail them in a sealed, signed envelope: choose the hard copy at checkout with the office's address ($19.95 Priority or $37.95 Express in the US).
Quarter starts and deadlines
CityU starts classes four times a year, with a mandatory orientation the month before.
Applicants overseas apply by August 1 for October, November 1 for January, February 1 for April and May 1 for July; F-1 students transferring from another US school have one month more and add copies of their I-94, visa, past I-20s and the International Student Transfer Evaluation form (CityU: international application process).

Uploading the translation to CityU
Mail or courier the original-language records and the certified translations to City University of Seattle, International Student Office, 521 Wall Street, Suite 100, Seattle, WA 98121 (CityU: international application process).
Ask your admissions advisor whether a translation emailed by eVerbary is accepted in place of the paper copy.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions

Can I email my transcripts to CityU?
Not yourself. Records come by mail or courier, or by email directly from the issuing institution (CityU: international application process).
