How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026
Brazosport College asks international applicants for official secondary school and college records, and transcripts from schools outside the US must go to an approved evaluation service, a NACES member; it publishes no translation rule of its own.
Brazosport's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation goes to the agency first; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

What the evaluation agencies ask for the translation
Brazosport points to the NACES member list, so the agency you pick sets the translation rule. WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept translations by applicants.
ECE accepts any complete, literal translation, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver. FCSA, in Austin, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies.
Some NACES members accept only ATA-certified translators; for those, ask eVerbary for a free quote.
What Brazosport admits international students to
Brazosport accepts international students only for the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science; the BAT degrees are not offered to them (International admissions).
The application goes through ApplyTexas, which Admissions processes in about two business days, followed by the official records, the sponsor's affidavit with a bank statement showing $22,696, and TOEFL scores, which cannot be waived. Students out of status must apply for reinstatement with USCIS first.

Uploading the translation to Brazosport
The translation goes to the evaluation service with your records; the service sends its evaluation to Brazosport College Admissions (International admissions).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Brazosport that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from a NACES member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
