How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Bossier Parish Community College requires foreign high school transcripts to be evaluated by a NACES member, with a basic statement of comparability and a course-by-course breakdown showing equivalence to a US high school diploma, sent to BPCC in English directly by the agency; foreign college transcripts need a NACES course-by-course evaluation.

BPCC's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

College: course-by-course

For foreign transfer students.

BPCC requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; the NACES agency sends the evaluated transcripts in English (International students).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

High school evaluation

By a NACES member, with a basic statement of comparability and course by course, showing equivalence to a US high school diploma (International students).

College evaluation

Foreign transfer students: a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES evaluator, sent to the BPCC Registrar (International students).

Funds

A certified statement of funds on the bank's letterhead or with its embossed seal, naming the account holder (International students).

Enrollment

Full-time: 12 credit hours, at least 9 face-to-face (International students).

What the evaluation agencies ask for the translation

BPCC accepts any NACES member, so the agency's rule applies. WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate documents itself.

ECE accepts any complete, literal translation, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver. FCSA accepts certified translations from most professional agencies.

Some members accept only ATA-certified translators; for those, ask eVerbary for a free quote.

Two things in one high school report

For a foreign high school record, BPCC wants both a basic statement of comparability and a course-by-course breakdown in the same evaluation, showing that your credential equals a US high school diploma (International students).

Ask your agency for a report that includes both; a plain document-by-document report may not be enough. If you also attended college abroad, request a course-by-course evaluation of those transcripts for the Registrar.

Need a certified translation for BPCC?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma
  • College or university transcripts (foreign transfers)
  • Degree certificates
  • Bank statement, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to BPCC

  • The translation goes to the NACES agency with your records; the agency sends the evaluated transcripts in English directly to BPCC (International students).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For BPCC that means we translate your records; the NACES evaluation is ordered by you from the agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does BPCC require a translation or an evaluation?

An evaluation by a NACES member, sent in English by the agency (International students); the agency asks for the translation.

What must the high school evaluation include?

A basic statement of comparability and course by course, showing US high school diploma equivalence (International students).

Which agency should I use?

Any NACES member (International students). WES, ECE and FCSA accept translations from a professional service.

Do foreign college transcripts need an evaluation?

Yes, course-by-course from a NACES evaluator (International students).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
