How we know · policy checked on October 21, 2026
The Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline asks applicants who do not use FCVS to upload a copy of their medical school diploma and, if they are foreign medical graduates, an English translation from a reputable translating organization.
Delaware BMLD accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
The sealed Verification of Medical Education from your school and the ECFMG exam history are separate items that come from their sources, not from us.

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Delaware BMLD requirements in detail
Translation
Foreign medical graduates attach an English translation of the medical school diploma (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
Who may translate
A reputable translating organization (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
Original or copy
A copy of the diploma, uploaded with the translation in DELPROS (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
School verification
A Verification of Medical Education from each school attended, sealed and/or notarized (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license, form).
ECFMG
A copy of a current, valid ECFMG certificate, and the complete exam history sent by ECFMG (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
Training
Three years of ACGME-approved postgraduate training in the US for graduates of schools not approved by the AMA or AOA (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license, FAQ).
FCVS
Delaware accepts FCVS; FCVS users send their Physician Information Profile instead of the diploma and verifications (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
The diploma translation in DELPROS
Delaware's list for applicants who do not use FCVS starts with the diploma: a copy of it, and for foreign medical graduates an English translation from a reputable translating organization (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
Both are attachments in DELPROS, the online system, where the Attachments page tells you whether to upload a document or acknowledge that it will be mailed by a third party.
Translate the whole diploma, including the seals, signatures and any registration notes on the back; we keep the original degree title next to the English one, so it can be matched with the school's verification.
With FCVS, a different list
If you use FCVS, Delaware asks for the application, the fee, the requirements for all applicants and the FCVS Physician Information Profile, which FCVS sends to the Board (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
The diploma copy and its translation then go to FCVS under its rules, not to Delaware. ECFMG, whose certificate Delaware requires, accepts word-for-word translations from a professional translation service (ECFMG).
Need a certified translation for Delaware BMLD?

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
- Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.
Submitting the translation to Delaware BMLD
Upload the diploma copy and the certified translation as attachments in DELPROS (Physician (M.D. or D.O.) license).
Documents that a third party must mail, such as school or training verifications, are acknowledged in DELPROS and sent by that party to the Board office.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service or a licensing agency: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we cannot send documents on behalf of the school or authority that issued them, and we do not file the license application.
For Delaware that means we translate your diploma and other documents; the sealed Verification of Medical Education and the ECFMG exam history come from your school and from ECFMG.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
