Keterangan ahli — the expert's statement
Indonesian procedure treats expert evidence as keterangan ahli, a statutory category of evidence, given by an expert called by a party or summoned by the court and examined at hearing.
So the report is accompanied by testimony and a file may contain a written opinion and a hearing record. We name each and translate the sequence.
Visum et repertum
Indonesian criminal practice uses the visum et repertum — a Dutch-inherited term for a forensic medical report describing injuries found on examination and the examiner's conclusions.
