Georgian law provides no legal separation. Where both spouses agree, divorce is registered at a Public Service Hall through the Civil Registry Agency, and Georgia's administrative services are unusually fast.
Where there is a dispute, particularly over children, a court decides and the judgment is then registered. So a Georgian file may hold a registry certificate, a judgment, or both.
