Public servants must certify an indigenous language
Bolivia's language law requires public servants to be competent in at least one indigenous language in addition to Spanish, with certification through the plurinational institute for the study of languages and cultures.
So a Bolivian indigenous language certificate is frequently a condition of public employment rather than an academic credential, and the certificate names the language and the purpose. We reproduce both.

Bolivia's constitution recognises thirty-six official languages alongside Spanish — Quechua, Aymara and Guaraní with millions of speakers and many Amazonian languages with very few.

Quechua and Aymara varieties
Bolivian Quechua differs from Peruvian and Ecuadorian varieties, and Aymara is a separate language family from Quechua rather than a relative of it.

The orthography, and the altitude
Quechua and Aymara orthographies use apostrophes and letters foreign to Spanish, and registry clerks have historically hispanicised indigenous names, so one name may appear several ways.
