How we know · policy checked on October 21, 2026
Educational Perspectives requires an English translation of every document you submit that is not issued in English, and its country pages ask for an official or certified English translation.
Educational Perspectives accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary: its translation page says translations by a reputable translation agency or a certified, professional translator will be accepted, and that its own service is a convenience.
EP evaluates only official credentials, so the translation travels with records your school sends or you mail; eVerbary translates them and does not order the evaluation.
Educational Perspectives at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Educational Perspectives says translations prepared by a reputable translation agency or by a certified, professional translator will be accepted, and that you do not have to use its own service (translation services), so a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets it. Worth knowing about Educational Perspectives
EP service optional
Its own translations are offered as a convenience, not a requirement.
Official records only
No evaluations from scans or photocopies sent by applicants.
Copies need no notary
Un-notarized photocopies are sufficient where copies are asked for.
Educational Perspectives requirements in detail
Translation
Required for all documents you submit that are not issued in English (terms).
Wording
Country requirement sheets ask for an "official or certified English translation" (Mexico sheet).
Who may translate
A reputable translation agency or a certified, professional translator; EP's own translation service is optional (Educational Perspectives: translation services).
Self-translation
Not addressed on EP's pages; the accepted sources are agencies and certified professional translators.
Original or copy
Where your country sheet asks for them, photocopies of official English translations (Educational Perspectives: documentation requirements); photocopies do not need to be notarized (FAQ).
Academic records
Official credentials only; EP does not evaluate scans or emailed copies sent by applicants, and may ask for documents sent directly by the institution (Educational Perspectives: documentation requirements).
EP's own option
ATA-certified translations by quote, usually within about five working days, from scanned copies (Educational Perspectives: translation services).
Translation by scan, evaluation from official records
The two halves of the process work differently at Educational Perspectives.
A translation can be made from a clear scan: EP's own translation service, for example, works from electronic copies (Educational Perspectives: translation services).
The evaluation, however, is prepared only from official educational credentials, never from scans or photocopies sent by the applicant (Educational Perspectives: documentation requirements).
So translate from a scan of the same document your school will send or that you will mail, and check that every page, stamp and back side is in the scan. A translation that omits a page the evaluator sees on the official record can hold up the file.
Country sheets decide the details
EP publishes a requirements sheet for each country of study.
The Mexico sheet, for example, asks for an official or certified English translation and lists which records must be original and which may be photocopies (Educational Perspectives: Mexico requirements (PDF)).
Where a sheet asks for photocopies of official English translations, a copy of the certified translation is what goes in the envelope (Educational Perspectives: documentation requirements).
Documents and translations sent to EP directly by the issuing institution become EP's property and are not returned (Educational Perspectives: application terms).

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
- Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.
Submitting the translation to Educational Perspectives
Follow your country requirement sheet: official records come from the institution or from you in the original sealed or official form, and the English translation, or a photocopy of it where the sheet says so, goes in the same package (Educational Perspectives: documentation requirements).
eVerbary delivers the translation as a signed PDF you can print as many times as needed for EP and for any university or board that also wants it.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we do not order the evaluation for you, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Educational Perspectives that means we translate your records; the evaluation and the request for official records from your school are between you, your school and EP.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
