Alianza Academic Evaluations, the Phoenix evaluator formerly called Arizona International Credential Evaluators, requires an accurate, word-for-word English translation of every document not issued in English, made by the issuing school, a translator who is a member of the American Translators Association, a recognized professional translator or agency outside the US, or Alianza itself.

It does not accept translations by the applicant, friends or family. eVerbary assigns a translator individually certified by ATA on request; the evaluation and the school records Alianza asks for are handled with Alianza.

Alianza at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Alianza's terms accept translations by a translator who is a member of the American Translators Association, among others (terms of service), so a translation by an ATA-certified translator, whom eVerbary assigns on request, meets it. Policy checked on October 21, 2026.

Alianza requirements in detail

Translation

Every document not issued in English needs an accurate, word-by-word English translation (Alianza: terms of service); complete, line-by-line, accompanying the original-language document (Alianza: required documents).

Who may translate

The institution that issued the records, a translator who is a member of ATA, another recognized non-US professional translator or agency, or Alianza (Alianza: terms of service).

Self-translation

Not accepted, nor translations by a friend or family member (Alianza: terms of service).

Original or copy

Official records sent directly by the institution or through a platform such as ETX, Digitary or TrueCopy; forwarded documents and uploaded scans are refused (Alianza: required documents).

Own translation service

Word-for-word translation for the evaluation only, with no standalone translation issued: $100 per set for document-by-document, $125 per set for course-by-course and cosmetology (Alianza: fees and timelines).

How to submit

Apply and pay online first; an evaluator then sends document instructions, and Alianza asks you not to send documents before that (Alianza: how to apply).

Notarization

Not mentioned by Alianza.

Alianza's list of acceptable translators

Alianza's FAQ asks only for a certified English translation (Alianza: FAQ), but its terms of service name who may make it: the school, a translator who is a member of the American Translators Association, a recognized professional translator or agency outside the US, or Alianza (Alianza: terms of service).

For a translation made in the US, that points to an ATA translator. eVerbary is an ATA corporate member; for Alianza we assign a translator individually certified by ATA, who is necessarily an ATA member.

Alianza's own translation is cheaper per set but is used only inside the evaluation; you receive no translation you can give to a school or board. If a school or licensing board also wants the translation, you need one of your own.

Order of steps

Alianza works in a fixed order: choose the evaluation, apply and pay online, wait for an evaluator to tell you which records are needed, then have the school send them (Alianza: how to apply).

The course-by-course report costs $225 and the document-by-document $95 (Alianza: fees and timelines).

Translations must accompany the original-language document (Alianza: required documents), so have the translation ready when the instructions arrive.

Alianza is listed today as an endorsed member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). It also evaluates barbering and cosmetology training for Arizona licensing (Alianza: fees and timelines).

Need a certified translation for Alianza?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • Official transcripts or mark sheets for all years of study
  • Degree certificates, diplomas or graduation certificates with the date of award
  • Cosmetology or barbering training records with clock hours
  • Secondary school records, for school placement

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades, hours and credits exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA or equivalency.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload or print.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
  • Notarization added at checkout ($34.90 per order) when the office asks for a notarized translation.

Submitting the translation to Alianza

  • Send the translation the way Alianza's document instructions say, together with the original-language records; Alianza writes to you with those instructions after you apply and pay (Alianza: how to apply).

  • Questions about a case go by email to Alianza, which handles case communication in writing (Alianza: how to apply).

If you need a translator certified by ATA

Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:

$34.95 per page

Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian

$44.95 per page

Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian

To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for Alianza, what it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).

We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.

For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, we do not order the evaluation for you, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Alianza that means we provide the translation by an ATA-certified translator; the school records sent directly by your institution and the evaluation itself are handled with Alianza.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and submit it with the copy of the original wherever the office asks for it.
