How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Wayland Baptist University requires foreign high school records, and for transfers foreign college records, to be evaluated for US equivalency by WES or SpanTran, by InCred for athletes, or by IEE for UHUB applicants; it publishes no translation rule of its own.
Wayland's evaluation agencies, such as WES and IEE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

Wayland requirements in detail
Translation
No rule of its own; the evaluator needs the translation (International admission requirements).
Who may translate
Set by the evaluation agency; see below.
Evaluation
Foreign high school records for freshmen, foreign college records for transfers, evaluated for US equivalency (International admission requirements).
Which agency
Non-athletes: WES or SpanTran; athletes: InCred; UHUB applicants: IEE recommended (International admission requirements).
Which report
WES ICAP Basic Document evaluation for high school only, ICAP Course-by-Course for college or advanced credits; SpanTran Course Analysis; InCred basic or course-by-course with a Certified Add-On (International admission requirements).
Delivery
List Wayland as recipient; the agency tells Wayland when the evaluation is ready to download (International admission requirements).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, such as a certified translation agency, and does not translate itself. IEE wants a certified translator, not the applicant or a notary.
SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, asks for an outside translator certified by ATA, or translates in-house; if you choose it, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA on request through a free quote. InCred's translation rule is not covered here.
Pick the campus before the report
F-1 students must take mostly face-to-face classes, and not every Wayland degree is offered in person on every campus; Plainview carries many programs, and Nursing is in Plainview and San Antonio, so Wayland suggests checking with its DSO first (International admission requirements).
Then order the report Wayland names: a basic WES evaluation covers a high school record, while any college study calls for course-by-course.

Uploading the translation to Wayland
The translation goes to WES, SpanTran, InCred or IEE with your records; list Wayland as the recipient and the agency notifies Wayland when the evaluation is ready (International admission requirements).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Wayland that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from WES, SpanTran, InCred or IEE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
