First-year: the record, and the translation with it
UW-Green Bay makes its admission decision from your official academic records.
For a first-year applicant that means the official secondary school transcript, the diploma or the examination results, in English; if they are not in English, a certified English translation is needed, accompanied by the original (international admission).
Translate each document you send, so the transcript, the diploma and the exam results each have their English version; see high school diploma translation.
The calendar is tight: the last day to apply is July 1 for fall and December 1 for spring, and the last day to submit documents is one day later, July 2 or December 2 (International admission). Have the translation ready before you apply.
Transfer and graduate applicants: a NACES report
If you attended a university or other post-secondary institution outside the US, UW-Green Bay asks for a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-approved service (International admission).
Graduate applicants need the same kind of report, with WES or ECE recommended, sent by the agency directly to the Office of Graduate Studies; graduates of US institutions send transcripts instead (graduate international).
The agency sets the translation rule: WES wants a professional translator and does not accept translations by applicants; ECE accepts any complete, word-for-word translation.
For three-year degrees, the graduate page lists when they are considered: after six semesters of a four-year program, a Bologna three-year degree, or an Indian Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration from an institution with a NAAC grade of A (Graduate admission: international students).

Uploading the translation to UW-Green Bay
Apply through the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Pathway Portal, then submit the original records with their certified translations as UW-Green Bay instructs, by the documents deadline (International admission).
Transfer and graduate applicants send the translation to the NACES agency with their records; graduate evaluations go directly from the agency to the Office of Graduate Studies (Graduate admission: international students).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For UW-Green Bay that means we translate your records; the course-by-course evaluation for transfer and graduate applicants comes from a NACES agency such as WES or ECE.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can translate my high school records for UW-Green Bay?
UW-Green Bay asks for a certified English translation accompanied by the original and does not say who must make it (International admission). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary qualifies.
Do I need a credential evaluation as a first-year applicant?
The first-year rule asks for the records with a certified translation; the NACES course-by-course evaluation is for applicants with post-secondary study abroad (International admission).
Which agencies does the graduate school recommend?
WES or ECE, or another NACES member; the evaluation must be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Studies (Graduate admission: international students).
When are my documents due?
By July 2 for fall and December 2 for spring, one day after the application deadline (International admission).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
