USU requirements in detail
Translation
Secondary transcripts with certified English language translations if not in English (Utah State University: international undergraduate admissions).
Who may translate
A certified translator, for course descriptions; USU suggests certified translation services on request (Utah State University: international credit transfer).
Secondary records
All coursework and marks from the last three years; minimum GPA 2.7 or a GED score of 660 (Utah State University: international undergraduate admissions).
College records
Official transcripts from every institution attended; 24 US credits in English waive the high school transcript (Utah State University: international undergraduate admissions).
Official delivery
In the institution's sealed envelope by mail, or through the National Student Clearinghouse (Utah State University: international undergraduate admissions).
Foreign credit
Reviewed by USU department representatives after you confirm enrollment, from official transcripts and detailed course descriptions; weeks to months (Utah State University: international credit transfer).
Foreign credit reviewed by USU departments
USU does not send you to an evaluation agency.
Once you have accepted your offer and confirmed enrollment, International Undergraduate Admissions collects official transcripts from each college you want credit from and a detailed course description or syllabus for every course you request, then sends them to USU department representatives, who recommend an equivalent or decide a course does not transfer (international credit transfer).
You need not request every course; your advisor helps you choose the ones that help your program.
Descriptions not in English must be printed in English by the university, taken from its website, or translated into English by a certified translator, and USU will suggest certified translation services if you email intlcredittrans@usu.edu.
Credits may arrive as electives, such as ELEC 1XXX or ENGL 2XXX, rather than as the courses you expected (Utah State University: international credit transfer).
Secondary records for admission
For first-year admission, USU wants official transcripts showing all coursework and marks from the last three years of secondary school, with certified English language translations if they are not in English, and a minimum GPA of 2.7 (international admissions).
The originals come in the school's sealed envelope or through the National Student Clearinghouse; you may also forward the unopened envelope yourself. See high school diploma translation.

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to USU
Upload supplemental items, including translations, in your USU application account; official transcripts go by sealed mail to International Undergraduate Admissions or through the National Student Clearinghouse (Utah State University: international undergraduate admissions). eVerbary can email the translation directly to the office on request.
For credit, send translated course descriptions to International Undergraduate Admissions as part of the transfer request (Utah State University: international credit transfer).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
