University of Missouri accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

Mizzou converts foreign grades to a US GPA itself and does not accept evaluations from outside credential evaluation services, so you need the translation and no evaluation.

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Mizzou requirements in detail

Translation

A certified, literal English translation of transcripts issued in another language (International student FAQs).

Who may translate

What to send

Transcripts from every high school (grades 9 to 12 or equivalent) and every college attended: the original in the native language and its English translation (how to apply).

Evaluation

Done in-house; Mizzou converts grades from any system to a US GPA and accepts no transcript evaluations from external services (International student FAQs).

Unofficial, then official

PDF uploads to the Application Status Page are unofficial and often enough for a decision; the official final transcript comes from a school official after admission (International applicants: how to apply).

Official delivery

By a school official to inter@missouri.edu, electronic exchange, or mail to the Office of International Admissions, 230 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211 (International applicants: how to apply).

Timing

No application deadlines; Mizzou suggests applying 6 to 12 months ahead, and decisions are released from October 1 (International applicants: how to apply).

A translation, and no evaluation at all

Mizzou is one of the universities that does the conversion itself.

Its international FAQ says it evaluates all international transcripts in-house, converts grades from any educational system into a US GPA, and does not accept transcript evaluations from any external credential evaluation service (international FAQ).

Paying WES or another agency adds nothing to the application. What Mizzou does need is the original transcript in its native language and a certified, literal English translation of it (how to apply).

Keep every grade and the grading scale exactly as on the original; the GPA conversion is Mizzou's.

Unofficial first, official from the school

You can upload transcripts and translations as PDFs to your Application Status Page.

Anything you send yourself is treated as unofficial, but depending on the educational system an admission decision can often be made from it; an admissions evaluator emails you if more is needed (International applicants: how to apply).

A transcript emailed to inter@missouri.edu by a school counselor or other official counts as official, and an official final transcript is required after admission, by email from the school, electronic exchange or post.

Students at a US high school with records from home

If you attend a US high school, Mizzou still wants the transcripts of any high school you attended in your home country, as originals with their English translation.

It does not accept home-country grades that have been transferred to or adjusted by your US high school (International applicants: how to apply).

For the earlier years, a certified translation of the high school record is what you add to the file.

Need a certified translation for Mizzou?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts or mark sheets, grades 9 to 12 or equivalent
  • Secondary school diploma or leaving certificate
  • College or university transcripts, every institution attended
  • Bank letters or sponsor documents, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Mizzou

  • Upload the original transcript and the translation as PDF attachments to your Application Status Page (International applicants: how to apply). eVerbary delivers the certified translation as a PDF, usually within a few hours for most orders.

  • The official final transcript is sent by your school to inter@missouri.edu or by post to 230 Jesse Hall after admission (International applicants: how to apply); on request, eVerbary can also email the translation directly to the Office of International Admissions.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Mizzou that means we translate your records; the GPA conversion is done by Mizzou, which accepts no outside evaluation, and the official transcript comes from your school.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mizzou need a certified translation?

Should I get a WES or ECE evaluation for Mizzou?

No. Mizzou evaluates international transcripts in-house and does not accept evaluations from external services (International student FAQs).

Can I upload my translated transcripts myself?

Yes, to the Application Status Page; they count as unofficial, and a decision can often be made from them (International applicants: how to apply).

I am at a US high school. Do I need my home-country transcripts?

Yes, the originals and their English translation; Mizzou does not accept home-country grades adjusted by your US school (International applicants: how to apply).

Is there an application deadline?
