How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

Touro's International Student Office requires graduate applicants with college transcripts from outside the US to have them reviewed course by course by a private evaluation agency, and accepts only NACES members; the Graduate School of Technology recommends WES, ECE, The Evaluation Company or IFCS.

Touro's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You translate first, the agency evaluates and emails its report to Touro; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide.

Touro requirements in detail

Translation

Touro publishes no translation rule of its own; the evaluation agency sets it.

Evaluation (graduate)

Transcripts from non-US colleges must be reviewed course by course by a private evaluation agency before Touro considers you; only NACES members are accepted (International students: admissions).

Graduate School of Technology

Course-by-course from any NACES member, with WES, ECE, The Evaluation Company and IFCS recommended; TEC and IFCS offer Touro discounts (GST international).

How it is sent

The agency emails the official evaluation directly to your program director (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Three-year degrees

Accepted with First Division from Australia, Canada, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India and Bologna Process countries (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Undergraduate (NYSCAS)

The international checklist lists the application, high school diploma, English scores and affidavit of support; no evaluation rule is published (NYSCAS admissions).

One university, many admission offices

Touro's International Student Office says each school and program sets its own criteria, deadlines and processes, and sends applicants to the school websites (International students: admissions).

For graduate study the office states the shared rule: a course-by-course evaluation of non-US college transcripts from a NACES member, done early enough to leave time before the deadline, especially if you need a student visa.

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

WES requires an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator or translation service and does not accept your own (WES). ECE accepts a complete, literal translation from anyone and sells an $85 waiver (ECE).

The Evaluation Company, which has a Touro portal with a discount, accepts outside translations only from an ATA-certified translator (TEC); for TEC, ask eVerbary for a free quote.

Order one certified translation and use it with whichever agency you pick.

Graduate School of Technology specifics

The tech school, which takes many international and career-change applicants, asks for bank letters, English scores and, for US degrees, a sealed or emailed bachelor's transcript; overseas degrees go through the NACES evaluation, emailed by the agency to the program director (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Three-year bachelor's degrees from the listed countries are accepted with First Division, so the evaluation should show the division or class, and the translation must carry it from the original.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Touro that means we translate your records for the agency; the NACES course-by-course evaluation is ordered and paid by you after the translation.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Touro require a certified translation?

Touro publishes no translation rule; it requires a NACES course-by-course evaluation for graduate study (International students: admissions), and the agency asks for the translation.

Which agency should I use for the Graduate School of Technology?

Any NACES member; GST recommends WES, ECE, The Evaluation Company or IFCS (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Does Touro accept a three-year bachelor's degree?

The Graduate School of Technology does, with First Division, from the countries it lists, India among them (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Can I send the evaluation myself?

No. The agency emails the official evaluation directly to your program director (Graduate School of Technology: international students).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
