Requirements checked on October 28, 2026 from TTUHSC's public pages (sources).
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center admits through its schools and publishes no translation rule of its own: the School of Health Professions and the School of Nursing require an official course-by-course evaluation of coursework from outside the US, sent by the agency, from lists that include WES and FCSA.
TTUHSC's evaluation agencies, such as WES and FCSA, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Translate first, then order the evaluation; the evaluation itself is something we do not provide, and several listed agencies accept only ATA-certified translators.
TTUHSC at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
TTUHSC's School of Health Professions and School of Nursing ask for a course-by-course evaluation from agencies including WES and FCSA (Health Professions, Nursing), and WES accepts a certified translation from a professional translation service (WES translation rules); FCSA does as well. Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

TTUHSC requirements in detail
Translation
No rule of its own; the agency needs the translation before it can evaluate a record not in English.
Who may translate
Set by the agency: WES and FCSA accept professional translations; TEC, IACEI and GCE only ATA-certified translators.
Health Professions
Course-by-course evaluation of any coursework outside the US, covering all institutions, sent by the agency; no company mandated, but WES, FCSA, IACEI and GCE listed; FCCPT not accepted (School of Health Professions: international applicants).
Nursing (BSN programs)
Course-by-course from WES, IACEI, TEC, FCSA, GCE or IEE; do not send international transcripts to the School of Nursing (School of Nursing: international applicants).
Nursing (graduate)
Only if the qualifying degree is from outside the US; the agency list differs between two nursing pages (international page, transcripts FAQ).
English
TOEFL 79 iBT or 550 paper for non-citizens, sent by ETS (School of Health Professions: international applicants).
No central rule: each school names its agencies
TTUHSC's schools set their own requirements.
Health Professions asks anyone who took courses outside the US for an official course-by-course evaluation sent directly by the agency and covering every foreign institution attended; it does not mandate a company, lists WES, Foreign Credentials Service of America, IACEI and Global Credential Evaluators, and refuses evaluations from FCCPT (Health Professions).
The School of Nursing's undergraduate programs (Traditional, Accelerated and RN to BSN) accept course-by-course evaluations from WES, IACEI, TEC, FCSA, GCE and IEE, with TTUHSC portals at TEC and IEE, and ask you not to send international transcripts to the school itself (Nursing).
Where the nursing pages differ
For graduate nursing programs, an evaluation is needed only when the degree that qualifies you (a BSN for the MSN or BSN to DNP, an MSN for post-master's options) is from outside the US.
The international page lists TEC, Josef Silny, ERES and TruMerit (the CGFNS Credentials Evaluation Service Academic Report) (international page); the transcripts FAQ says an official CGFNS Academic Report is required (transcripts FAQ). Ask the School of Nursing which applies before you order.
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not accept your own. FCSA, in Austin, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies, and for Spanish documents even your own.
IEE accepts certified translators but not the applicant.
TEC, IACEI and GCE accept outside translations only from translators certified by ATA (GCE also from the university or ministry); for those, eVerbary can assign an ATA-certified translator on request through a free quote naming the agency and TTUHSC.
Need a certified translation for TTUHSC?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- University transcripts and mark sheets
- Degree certificates (BSN, MSN or other qualifying degree)
- Course descriptions, if the agency asks for them
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to TTUHSC
Send your translation to the agency with your documents, using the TTUHSC portal where the agency has one (TEC and IEE for Nursing). The agency sends the official course-by-course evaluation to the school (Health Professions, Nursing).
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for TTUHSC, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For TTUHSC that means we translate your transcripts and degree certificates for the agency; the course-by-course evaluation, or the CGFNS report for graduate nursing, is ordered by you.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does TTUHSC require a credential evaluation?
Yes, course by course, for coursework outside the US, in Health Professions and Nursing (Health Professions, Nursing).
Can I use any evaluation company for Health Professions?
The school does not mandate one, but it must be course by course, and FCCPT is not accepted (School of Health Professions: international applicants).
Which agencies does the School of Nursing accept for the BSN?
WES, IACEI, TEC, FCSA, GCE and IEE (School of Nursing: international applicants).
Can I use an eVerbary translation?
Yes, with WES or FCSA, which accept professional translations (WES, FCSA). For TEC, IACEI or GCE, ask for an ATA-certified translator.
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for TTUHSC?
Yes, on request: ask for a free quote and say it is for TEC, IACEI or GCE and TTUHSC. ATA certifies only some languages into English.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
