How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi reads international transcripts only through a detailed course-by-course evaluation report from one of five approved agencies, FCSA, ECE, GCE, WES (for college records only) or The Evaluation Company, sent directly by the agency; you do not send foreign transcripts to the university.

TAMU-CC's evaluation agencies, such as FCSA, ECE and WES, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation comes first; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Worth knowing about TAMU-CC

Five agencies only

WES for college only

Not for high school records.

Nothing to the university

TAMU-CC requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; TAMU-CC reads foreign records only through the agency report (International freshmen).

Who may translate

Set by the agency: FCSA, ECE and WES accept a professional translation; GCE and TEC ask for an ATA-certified translator.

Evaluation

A detailed course-by-course report covering all international high schools, colleges and universities (International freshmen).

Agencies

FCSA (Austin), ECE, GCE (College Station), WES and TEC (Houston); WES only for post-secondary records (international transfer).

Delivery

The agency forwards the report to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions; do not send international transcripts to the university (International freshmen).

Graduate

Course-by-course from ECE, FCSA, GCE, WES or SpanTran/TEC, except MS Computer Science, MS Geospatial Systems Engineering and PhD Geospatial Computer Science (graduate).

Deadlines

Rolling admission; late fees from June 1 (fall), November 1 (spring) and April 1 (summer) (International freshmen).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

FCSA, in Austin, accepts certified translations from most professional agencies and lets you or a relative translate Spanish documents.

ECE wants a complete, literal, word-for-word translation and lets applicants translate themselves, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.

WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, and TAMU-CC tells freshmen not to use WES for high school records, because it does not produce the detailed course-by-course report required.

GCE accepts translations only from the issuing university, the Ministry of Education or an ATA-certified translator, and The Evaluation Company wants an outside translator certified by ATA.

For either, ask eVerbary for a free quote and say which agency it is for: we assign a translator individually certified by ATA.

Graduate applicants and three-year degrees

Graduate Admissions has required a course-by-course evaluation of all international college and university transcripts since March 1, 2017, from the same five agencies, except for MS Computer Science, MS Geospatial Systems Engineering and the PhD in Geospatial Computer Science (Graduate admissions: international students).

If your bachelor's degree took three years, the agency must determine that it is equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. Ask the agency for that statement, and translate every year of mark sheets plus the degree certificate.

Need a certified translation for TAMU-CC?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcripts and diploma (FCSA, ECE, GCE or TEC)
  • College or university transcripts and mark sheets
  • Degree certificates, including three-year bachelor's degrees

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For TAMU-CC that means we translate your records; the course-by-course report is ordered by you from one of the five approved agencies.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does TAMU-CC accept an eVerbary translation?

TAMU-CC requires an agency evaluation (International freshmen); FCSA, ECE and WES accept a translation from a professional service, and GCE and TEC want an ATA-certified translator.

Can I use WES for my high school transcripts?

No. TAMU-CC says WES does not provide the detailed course-by-course evaluation of high school it requires; use WES for college records (International freshmen).

Do I send my foreign transcripts to TAMU-CC?

No; only the agency report, sent by the agency (International freshmen).

Which graduate programs do not need the evaluation?

MS Computer Science, MS Geospatial Systems Engineering and PhD Geospatial Computer Science (Graduate admissions: international students).

Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for GCE or TEC?

Yes, on request through a free quote: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian at $34.95 per page, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian at $44.95. ATA certifies no other languages into English.

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
