How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
SUNY Niagara sends every international transcript to a NACES member for evaluation and says the transcripts must be translated into English before they can be evaluated, without saying who must translate.
SUNY Niagara (Niagara County Community College) accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
The NACES evaluation, which must verify your degrees and give US course and grade equivalencies, is ordered separately and sent by the agency to Admissions; it is something we do not provide.
SUNY Niagara at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
SUNY Niagara asks for transcripts translated into English before the NACES evaluation and does not restrict who translates (admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

SUNY Niagara requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts must be translated into English before they can be evaluated (Admissions: foreign transcript evaluation requirements).

Evaluation
All international transcripts go to a NACES member; the report must verify your degrees and give US course and grade equivalencies (Admissions: foreign transcript evaluation requirements).
Where it goes
The NACES member sends the official evaluation to the Office of Admissions, admissions@niagaracc.suny.edu (Admissions: foreign transcript evaluation requirements).
TEC application
TEC (formerly SpanTran) has a custom SUNY Niagara application at a discounted rate (International students).
F-1 deadlines
Fall July 15, spring December 1; allow time for consulate delays (International students).
Financial documents
A certified bank statement or bank letter with the bank's signatures (International students).
Translation first, then the NACES report
SUNY Niagara spells out the order: international high school and college transcripts are sent to a NACES member, and they must be translated into English before they can be evaluated (Admissions: foreign transcript evaluation requirements).
The report has two jobs, verifying each degree and giving US course and grade equivalencies, so translate the full transcript and the degree certificate, not only the final diploma. The agency then sends the official evaluation directly to Admissions.
The agency also has its own translation rule.
WES accepts a professional translation service and not translations by applicants (WES); TEC, which built a discounted SUNY Niagara application, accepts outside translations only from a translator certified by ATA (TEC), and eVerbary can assign one through a free quote.
F-1 students and Canadians
International applicants submit official high school and, if applicable, college transcripts through the same NACES process, plus a certified bank statement or bank letter confirming the required funds with the bank's signatures; the deadlines are July 15 for fall and December 1 for spring (International students).
Canadian students skip the consulate visit but still pay the SEVIS fee. If your bank letter is not in English, a certified translation keeps the figures and signatures readable for the I-20 review.

- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to SUNY Niagara
For the evaluation, the translation goes to the NACES agency with your transcripts; the agency emails its official report to admissions@niagaracc.suny.edu (Admissions: foreign transcript evaluation requirements).
We can also email the translation of your bank letter or other documents directly to the admissions office on request.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For SUNY Niagara that means we translate your transcripts first; the NACES evaluation that verifies them is ordered by you afterwards.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
