State College of Florida accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The evaluation comes from an agency, and we do not provide it.

An original course-by-course evaluation and translated course descriptions to the Office of the Registrar (International students).
Agencies
NACES members and the Center for Educational Documentation are pre-approved; most students use ECE, IEE, SpanTran/TEC or Josef Silny (International students).

Only original evaluations are accepted; they become the college's property (International students).
Deadlines (F-1)
Fall July 1, spring October 31 (International students).
A review in English before any evaluation
SCF does not send every foreign diploma to an agency.
Applicants with international high school credentials may first submit copies of official transcripts or marksheets, certificates, diplomas and other documents equal to a US high school diploma, all in English, to the Office of the Registrar for a preliminary review (International students).
A certified translation of your high school diploma and grades is what makes those copies readable.
If the Registrar needs more, you will be asked for an original document-by-document evaluation from a NACES member showing the equivalent of graduation from an accredited US high school, mailed to the Office of the Registrar, P.O. Box 1849, Bradenton, FL 34206 (International students).
College credit: evaluation plus translated course descriptions
For study at a college or university abroad, SCF wants an original course-by-course evaluation and copies of the course descriptions or syllabi in certified English translation, done by a certified translator (International students).
Ask the evaluation company directly which documents it needs; each sets its own rules.
ECE accepts complete, word-for-word translations, IEE wants a certified translator, and The Evaluation Company asks for one certified by the American Translators Association, which eVerbary can assign on request.
Need a certified translation for SCF?

Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts or marksheets, certificates and diplomas
- College or university transcripts, for the course-by-course evaluation
- Course descriptions or syllabi, for each course you want credited
- Bank documents for the $35,000 proof of support, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to SCF
Copies of high school records and their translations go to the Office of the Registrar; original evaluations and translated course descriptions are mailed to State College of Florida, Office of the Registrar, P.O. Box 1849, Bradenton, FL 34206 (International students).
Questions go to International@SCF.edu (International students). On request we can email the translation directly to the admissions office.
If you need a translator certified by ATA
Some offices accept only a translator who is personally certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). eVerbary assigns one on request, for the languages ATA certifies into English:
$34.95 per page
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian
$44.95 per page
Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian
To order it, ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for SCF, which program it is for, and that you need a translator individually certified by ATA, plus anything else the office asks for (notarization, delivery by email to the office).
We confirm the price and the translator before you pay. ATA does not certify other languages into English, so no translator anywhere holds ATA certification for them.
For those languages we provide a notarized certified translation instead, at $44.95 per page plus notarization ($34.90 per order); ask the office to confirm it accepts that, and write its answer in the quote notes.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For SCF that means we translate your records and course descriptions; a NACES evaluation, if the Registrar asks for one or for college credit, comes from an evaluation agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credential evaluation for my foreign high school diploma at SCF?
Not always. The Registrar first reviews copies in English and asks for a NACES document-by-document evaluation only if more is needed (International students).
Who can translate my course descriptions?
SCF says a certified translator (International students). eVerbary's translations come with a signed certification.
Which evaluation companies does SCF accept?
NACES members and the Center for Educational Documentation; others are assessed as needed. Most students use ECE, IEE, SpanTran/TEC or Josef Silny (International students).
Will SCF return my original evaluation?
No. It becomes the property of the college (International students).
Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for SCF?
Yes, on request, for example if your evaluation agency is TEC or Josef Silny. Ask for a free quote and write in the notes that the translation is for State College of Florida and needs a translator individually certified by ATA. ATA certifies Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian ($34.95 per page) and Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian ($44.95 per page) into English; no other languages.
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
