How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Southeastern Oklahoma State University requires international freshmen's original final secondary transcripts and diploma to be evaluated course by course with a GPA by a NACES service such as The Evaluation Company, IEE, IERF or ECE, and says all documents must be in English or accompanied by an English translation.

Southeastern's evaluation agencies, such as IEE, IERF and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary. The translation comes first; the evaluation is something we do not produce.

Southeastern at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Southeastern asks for a course-by-course evaluation with GPA from a NACES service (international freshmen), and IEE, a NACES member, accepts a certified translation from a certified translator (IEE rule), as do IERF and ECE; TEC wants a translator certified by ATA. Southeastern requirements in detail

Translation

All documents must be in English or accompanied by an English translation (International undergraduate freshmen).

Who may translate

Not stated by Southeastern; for the evaluation, set by the agency.

Evaluation

Original final secondary transcripts and diploma, evaluated course by course with GPA by a NACES service such as TEC, IEE, IERF or ECE (International undergraduate freshmen).

Not yet graduated

A signed letter from a school administrator with the expected graduation date, a current evaluation, and a final one after graduation (International undergraduate freshmen).

Admission minimum

GPA 2.7, or ACT 20 or SAT 1030 (International undergraduate freshmen).

Deadlines

Fall: June 1; spring: November 1; bank statement within six months of the start term (International undergraduate freshmen).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

IEE wants a certified translator and refuses translations by the client or a notary. IERF wants a literal, line-by-line translation and may ask for a professional one.

ECE accepts any complete, literal translation, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 waiver.

The Evaluation Company wants an outside translator certified by ATA, or translates in-house; for TEC, ask eVerbary for a free quote and say it is for TEC.

Applying before you graduate

Southeastern lets students in their last semester of secondary school apply with a signed letter from a school administrator giving the expected graduation date and a current transcript evaluation; a final, complete evaluation is required after graduation (International undergraduate freshmen).

Plan for two translations of the record: the partial transcript now and the final transcript and diploma later. The bank statement and sponsor letter also need an English translation if they are not in English.

Need a certified translation for Southeastern?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • Final secondary transcripts and original diploma
  • Current transcript, if you have not graduated
  • School letter with expected graduation date, if not in English
  • Bank statement and sponsor letter, if not in English

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Southeastern

  • The translation goes to the NACES service with your original records; the evaluation goes to Southeastern, and other documents with their translations go with your application (International undergraduate freshmen).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Southeastern that means we translate your records and financial documents; the course-by-course evaluation with GPA is ordered by you from a NACES service.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Southeastern require a translation or an evaluation?

Both: a NACES course-by-course evaluation with GPA, and English translations of documents not in English (International undergraduate freshmen).

Which evaluation services does Southeastern name?

TEC, IEE, IERF and ECE, all NACES members (International undergraduate freshmen).

Can I apply before I finish high school?

Yes, with a school letter and a current evaluation; a final evaluation is required after graduation (International undergraduate freshmen).

Can eVerbary provide an ATA-certified translator for TEC?

Yes, on request through a free quote: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian at $34.95 per page, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Croatian, Danish and Persian at $44.95. ATA certifies no other languages into English.

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
