Saint Mary's at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Saint Mary's international admissions page says "English translations must be included in addition to the original non-English version" and names no translator (international admissions); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Required where your system has them: (I)GCSE or A levels, CBSE, WAEC and similar (International admissions).

Transfers

With fewer than 23 semester or 34 quarter units, the final high school transcript may also be reviewed (International admissions).

Deadlines

Fall Early Action November 1, Regular Decision January 15; spring December 1 (International admissions).

Every country, every transcript, in both languages

Saint Mary's international admissions page repeats the same rule for high school and college transcripts: if they are not in English, include English translations in addition to the original non-English version.

Students who studied in more than one country submit at least one transcript from a school or institution in each country, unless they were on an exchange where the sending school awarded the grades.

Applicants from systems with external examinations, such as (I)GCSE and A levels, CBSE or WAEC, also send those results; translate any that are not issued in English.

You can apply with unofficial transcripts uploaded to the Saint Mary's applicant status page; once admitted, your high school counselor sends the official final transcript by email (International admissions). For the school record, see high school diploma translation.

Transfer applicants

No minimum credits are needed to transfer, but with fewer than 23 transferable semester units or 34 quarter units, Saint Mary's may review your final high school transcript too, so translate both records.

College transcripts must cover every term at every post-secondary institution, again with English translations and the original-language versions (International admissions).

An English composition course with a B or better at an accredited US college waives the English test for transfers.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Saint Mary's

  • Upload the original transcripts and their certified translations together to your Saint Mary's applicant status page; after admission the official final transcript comes from your counselor (International admissions).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Saint Mary's require translated transcripts?

Yes. English translations must be included with the original non-English transcripts (International admissions).

Can I use a translation company?

Saint Mary's does not say who translates (International admissions). A certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary meets the rule.

Can I apply with unofficial transcripts?

Yes; an official final transcript is required after admission (International admissions).

I studied in two countries. What do I send?

At least one transcript from each country, unless you were on an exchange graded by your sending school (International admissions).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
