How we know · policy checked on October 26, 2026

Reynolds asks F-1 applicants for official original-language records together with official English translations of every high school and college record, and its required-document policy asks applicants schooled abroad for a copy of a certified translation or an evaluation; neither page says who must translate.

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

An evaluation is required only in some cases, when the international student advisor asks for it, and it is something we do not provide.

Reynolds at a glance

Does it accept eVerbary? Yes

Reynolds asks for official English translations of all academic records (international admission) and its policy accepts a certified translation (required document list), without restricting who makes it; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Worth knowing about Reynolds

Both languages

The original-language record and the English translation.

Translation or evaluation

Policy 1-11 accepts either.

June 15

Fall deadline; October 15 for spring.

Reynolds requirements in detail

Translation

Official original-language records and official English translations of all high school and college records (Steps for admission: international students).

Policy wording

Applicants who attended school outside the US submit a copy of a certified translation or an evaluation of their transcripts (Policy 1-11: required document list, international student admissions).

Who may translate

High school

All applicants must be high school graduates, with an official transcript showing the graduation date (Steps for admission: international students).

Evaluation

Required only in some cases; the international student advisor gives details (Steps for admission: international students).

Financial

An Affidavit of Support with three financial documents no older than three months, plus a letter from the sponsor's employer (Steps for admission: international students).

Deadlines (F-1)

June 15 for fall, October 15 for spring; documents go to the international student advisor in the Office of the Registrar (Steps for admission: international students).

The original and the translation, for every record

Reynolds wants each record twice: the official version in its original language and an official English translation, for high school and for any college or university (international admission).

The high school transcript must show your graduation date, so make sure the line or stamp with that date is translated. See high school diploma translation.

The college's policy on required documents puts it as a copy of a certified translation or an evaluation of your transcripts, and also asks for copies of high school and college diplomas (policy 1-11).

A certified translation meets the first option; the advisor tells you when an evaluation is needed instead or as well.

Programs, money and timing for F-1 applicants

Reynolds does not admit F-1 students to the School of Health Professions or to programs taught mostly online, and places F-1 applicants in an associate degree program or in ESL according to TOEFL or IELTS scores (Steps for admission: international students).

Its financial package is detailed: an Affidavit of Support, three financial documents no older than three months and a letter from the sponsor's employer giving status and yearly salary.

The page states its translation rule for academic records only; ask the advisor before the June 15 or October 15 deadline whether financial documents in another language need one too.

Need a certified translation for Reynolds?

$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.

Documents applicants usually translate

  • High school transcript showing the graduation date, and the diploma
  • College or university transcripts and diplomas
  • Grading scale printed on the transcript

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Reynolds

  • Submit the original-language records, the translations and the rest of the package to the international student advisor in the Office of the Registrar (Admissions@reynolds.edu) by the deadline (Steps for admission: international students).

  • We can email the translation directly to the advisor on request; you still provide the official original-language records.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Reynolds that means we translate your records; an evaluation, when the advisor requires one, comes from an evaluation agency.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Frequently asked questions

What translation does Reynolds accept?

An official, certified English translation of each record, submitted with the original-language version (Steps for admission: international students, Policy 1-11: required document list, international student admissions). Reynolds does not say who must make it.

Do I need a credential evaluation for Reynolds?

Only in some cases; the international student advisor will tell you (Steps for admission: international students). The policy accepts a certified translation or an evaluation (Policy 1-11: required document list, international student admissions).

Can F-1 students enter health programs?

No. Reynolds does not admit F-1 applicants to the School of Health Professions or to mostly online programs (Steps for admission: international students).

When are the F-1 deadlines?

June 15 for fall and October 15 for spring (Steps for admission: international students).

Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?

No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
