Requirements checked on October 27, 2026 from Post's public pages (sources).
Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut, asks international applicants for high school transcripts (for associate or bachelor's programs) and transcripts from all colleges attended, translated into English; it does not say who must translate.
Post University accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
Transfer credit from schools outside the US also needs a course-by-course evaluation from an organization such as IEE, WES or another NACES or AICE member, which is something we do not produce.
Post at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Post asks for high school and college transcripts "translated into English" (international admissions requirements) and does not restrict who translates; a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Policy checked on October 27, 2026.

Sample translation: a Brazilian university transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with invented names, school and numbers. The original in Portuguese sits next to our English translation, and the PDF starts with the signed certification page. Bracketed text in the translation is a translator's note: each abbreviation is spelled out the first time it appears, and the layout follows the original line for line, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- CPF, RG, MEC, D.O.U., CH, CR and ENADE are spelled out in brackets the first time they appear, and only then.
- Status codes (AP, RM, RF, AE) are explained on first use, so a course failed and retaken the next term reads correctly.
- Grades, decimal commas and dates stay exactly as printed; the date format is noted once. Converting grades is the evaluator's job.
- Terms, rows and columns follow the original line for line, so each course can be matched at a glance.

Post requirements in detail
Translation
Transcripts from high school (for associate or bachelor's programs) and all colleges attended, translated into English (International student admissions).
Who may translate
Not stated (International student admissions).
Transfer credit
A course-by-course evaluation from an accredited transcript evaluation organization, due by the end of your first term (semester on the Main Campus) (International student admissions).
Accepted evaluators
A partial list: IEE, WES, and any service approved by NACES or AICE (International student admissions).
Nursing
Nursing education abroad needs an academic report showing it was taught in English and is comparable to a US degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (BSN) or 3.0 (MSN, DNP); a CGFNS certificate alone is not enough unless it shows all of that (International student admissions).
English
TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson or Duolingo; Cambridge for bachelor's programs; applicants from English-speaking countries educated in English are exempt (International student admissions).
Contact
Office of International Admissions, 800 Country Club Road, Waterbury; InternationalAdmissions@post.edu (International student admissions).
Translated transcripts for admission, an evaluation for credit
Post's international requirements list transcripts from high school, if you apply to an associate or bachelor's program, and from all colleges attended, translated into English (international admissions requirements).
That is the admission step.
Credit is a separate step: if you want courses from a school outside the US to count, you submit an evaluation with a course-by-course report from an accredited transcript evaluation organization, and Post must have it by the end of your first term, or first semester on the Main Campus, for the credits to be considered.
Post gives a partial list of evaluators it accepts: International Education Evaluations (IEE), World Education Services (WES), and any service approved by NACES or AICE.
WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, and IEE wants a certified translator, not the applicant or a notary, so the translation you order for admission can go to the evaluator as well.
Nursing applicants educated abroad
Post's nursing programs ask for an academic report, an evaluation, showing that your nursing education was taught in English and is comparable to one earned in the US, with at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the BSN and 3.0 for the MSN and DNP.
A certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is not accepted unless it shows all of these points (International student admissions).

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Post
Send the translated transcripts with your application to the Office of International Admissions (International student admissions); for transfer credit, the evaluator sends its course-by-course report to Post.
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Post that means we translate your transcripts; the course-by-course evaluation for transfer credit comes from IEE, WES or another NACES or AICE member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Post University accept a translation from a translation company?
Yes. It asks for transcripts translated into English and does not restrict who translates (International student admissions).
Do I need a credential evaluation for Post?
For transfer credit from outside the US, yes: a course-by-course report, due by the end of your first term (International student admissions).
Which evaluation companies does Post accept?
IEE, WES and any service approved by NACES or AICE, among others (International student admissions).
Is a CGFNS certificate enough for nursing?
Only if it shows the education was in English, comparable to a US degree, and meets the minimum GPA (International student admissions).
Will eVerbary convert my grades to a US GPA?
No. The translation reproduces the grades and the grading scale exactly as they appear. A GPA conversion is credential evaluation, which the institution or an evaluation agency does.
