Requirements checked on October 28, 2026 from Pillar's public pages (sources).
Pillar College publishes no translation rule of its own: its 2026-27 catalog says transcripts from foreign institutions must be evaluated by an approved outside agency that is a current NACES member, to determine transferable credits.
Pillar's evaluation agencies, such as WES, ECE and Educational Perspectives (NACES members), accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
You translate first and send the translation to the agency; the evaluation is something we do not produce.
Pillar at a glance

Sample translation: a Congolese secondary school transcript
This is what an order looks like when it is delivered, with a fictitious student. The PDF starts with the signed certification page, and the translation follows the original line for line: every abbreviation is explained, stamps, seals and signatures are noted in brackets, and the grid stays the same, so an admissions officer or a credential evaluator can match it without guessing.

What to notice
- Two school years in the same grid as the original: every subject, grading period, exam and total, so each grade can be read against its maximum.
- The French rating abbreviations are translated (TB becomes VG, Very good), and every abbreviation is explained in a translator's note at the foot of the same page, including one the original never defines.
- Dates are written the US way (the original's 02/07/2015 is February 7, 2015).
- The photo, seals and signatures are noted in brackets where they appear.

Pillar requirements in detail
Translation
No rule of its own; foreign records reach Pillar through the evaluation (Catalog 2026-2027).
Who may translate
Set by the evaluation agency (see below).
Evaluation
Transcripts from foreign institutions evaluated by an approved outside agency, a current NACES member, for transferable credits (Catalog 2026-2027).
Who it applies to
The catalog repeats the rule for non-native speakers, undergraduate transfers and international students (Catalog 2026-2027).
English
ESL program, placement exam, TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.5 (Catalog 2026-2027).
Transfer limits
At least 30 credits at Pillar for a bachelor's and 15 for an associate degree (Catalog 2026-2027).
F-1
International Student I-20 Request form; the I-20 follows acceptance and proof of funds (Catalog 2026-2027).
What each evaluation agency asks for the translation
WES wants an exact, word-for-word translation by a professional translator and does not translate.
ECE accepts complete, literal translations, including your own, or translates internally for an $85 Translation Waiver, with no translation delivered.
Educational Perspectives takes translations from a reputable agency or a certified professional translator and sells its own. A certified translation from eVerbary meets all three rules.
Where Pillar's pages differ
The 2026-27 catalog says the registrar evaluates transfer transcripts prior to the student's acceptance (catalog); the admissions web page says the registrar evaluates them once the student is accepted (admissions page).
The catalog also lists TOEFL 550 (paper) for first-year applicants and TOEFL iBT 80 for international applicants. Either way, the NACES evaluation of foreign records is what the registrar reads, so order it early.
Need a certified translation for Pillar?
$24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages. See the price before you pay.
Documents applicants usually translate
- High school transcripts and diploma
- College or university transcripts, for transfer credit
- Course descriptions or syllabi, for graduate transfer credit
- Financial documents for the I-20, if not in English
What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Pillar
The translation goes to the NACES agency with your records; the agency's evaluation goes to Pillar's registrar for transfer credit (Catalog 2026-2027).
Applicants seeking an F-1 visa also complete Pillar's International Student I-20 Request form; the I-20 is sent after acceptance and documentation of financial resources (Catalog 2026-2027).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Pillar that means we translate your records; the evaluation is ordered by you from a NACES member.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.

Can I take ESL instead of the TOEFL?
