Parkland at a glance
Does it accept eVerbary? Yes
Parkland's international How to Apply page asks for a certified English translation of transcripts not in English, along with the original-language copy, and does not restrict who makes it (how to apply); a certified translation from a professional service such as eVerbary is that kind of translation. Parkland requirements in detail
Translation
A certified English translation of transcripts not in English, submitted with the copy in the original language (International applicants: how to apply).
Who may translate
Not stated (International applicants: how to apply).
High school records
Official transcripts, mark sheets, exam results and certificates, including proof of graduation; photocopies are acceptable if they bear an original signature or certification from a school official (International applicants: how to apply).
Non-F-1 visa holders
Degree-seeking applicants provide educational documents in the original language and a certified English translation showing the equivalent of a US high school or bachelor's degree (International applicants: how to apply).

Deadlines
Out of country: June 15 fall, October 15 spring, March 15 summer. In country: July 15, November 15, April 15 (International applicants: how to apply).
A translation that travels with the original
Parkland's wording is precise: if your transcripts are not originally in English, you provide a certified English translation along with the copy in the original language (how to apply).
Send both in the same file, one after the other, so International Admissions can match each line.
The transcripts can be mark sheets, exam results or certificates, but they must include proof of graduation or completion, and a photocopy is accepted only if it carries an original signature or certification from a school official.
Parkland asks you to be a high school or university graduate by the time classes begin. For the secondary record, translate the leaving certificate along with the marks; see high school diploma translation.
Bank statements follow a different rule: Parkland asks for them official and written in English, and mentions no translation option.
Dependents, other visas and green card applicants
The rule is not limited to F-1 students.
Applicants on other visas, such as F-2 or J-2 dependents, who want a degree provide their educational documents in the original language with a certified English translation showing the equivalent of US high school or bachelor's degree completion.
Those with a permanent residency case in process add their I-797 receipt notice from USCIS (International applicants: how to apply).
University of Illinois students taking classes at Parkland follow a separate concurrent enrollment process, with the first page of their I-20 and their UIUC academic history.
Foreign college credit
To transfer credit from a college abroad, you must use a credential evaluation service, and Parkland names SpanTran: The Evaluation Company as an example; the results then go to Parkland (International applicants: how to apply).
The Evaluation Company accepts an outside translator only if certified by the American Translators Association, or translates through its own team. eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA on request: ask for a free quote and say it is for a TEC evaluation for Parkland.
Other agencies have their own rules; see translation for credential evaluation.

Uploading the translation to Parkland
Send every document, the certified translation and the original-language copy together, as PDF attachments by email to International Admissions, or by mail; the application fee is $50 (International applicants: how to apply).
For foreign college credit, the translation goes with your records to the evaluation service, which sends its results to Parkland (International applicants: how to apply).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Parkland that means we translate your school records; the evaluation needed to transfer foreign college credit comes from a credential evaluation service such as The Evaluation Company.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
