How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026
Owens Community College asks international applicants, at a minimum, for a copy of their high school transcript translated into English, and for any college transcripts translated into English as well; it does not say who must translate.
Owens Community College accepts certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.
To transfer credit from a college outside the US you also need an evaluation from an accredited agency on the NACES list, which is something we do not produce.

Owens requirements in detail
Translation
High school transcript, translated into English; college transcripts translated into English if applicable (Full-time international students).
Who may translate
Not stated (Full-time international students).
Copy or official
At a minimum, a copy of the high school transcript (Full-time international students).
Seniors
A transcript showing you are a current senior is accepted; the complete transcript follows after graduation (Full-time international students).
Transfer credit
College courses outside the US: evaluated by an accredited evaluation agency from the NACES list; Owens then reviews credit, which is not guaranteed (Full-time international students).
English
TOEFL, IELTS, PTE (48), Duolingo (95) or Cambridge English (170), among others (Full-time international students).
A translated copy to get started
Owens keeps the first step simple: at a minimum it needs a copy of your high school transcript, translated into English (Full-time international students).
If you are still in your senior year, a transcript showing that you are a current senior is enough to apply, and once you graduate you send the complete transcript.
Order the translation for the complete record then, so it covers your final grades and graduation.
College credit from abroad
If you took college or university courses outside the US and want them counted, the transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited agency from the NACES list, and Owens reviews the credit once it has all documents from the evaluation service (Full-time international students).
The college transcripts themselves are also listed as "translated into English". Each NACES agency sets its own translation rule; most accept a professional certified translation. See translation for credential evaluation.

What an eVerbary translation includes
- A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
- Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
- A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
- $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.
Uploading the translation to Owens
Send the transcript copy and its translation to the Owens International Admissions office with your application; for questions call International Student Services at (567) 661-7777 (Full-time international students).
What we do not do
eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.
For Owens that means we translate your transcripts; the NACES evaluation for transfer credit comes from an evaluation agency.
How to order
- Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
- Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
- Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
