How we know · policy checked on October 27, 2026

NorthWest Arkansas Community College requires every international transcript and diploma to be evaluated by a NACES-approved company, with a General Analysis for high school and a Course Analysis for college, and publishes no translation rule of its own.

NWACC's evaluation agencies, such as WES and ECE, accept certified translations from professional services such as eVerbary.

You order the translation first and send it to the agency; the evaluation itself is something we do not produce.

NWACC requirements in detail

Translation

No rule of its own; the evaluator needs the translation (International credit evaluations).

Who may translate

Set by the evaluation agency; see below.

Evaluation

All international transcripts and diplomas, evaluated and converted by a NACES-approved company (International credit evaluations).

Report type

High school: General Analysis; college: Course Analysis (International credit evaluations).

Agencies

SpanTran, with a 15% NWACC discount, or any NACES company from NWACC's list (International credit evaluations).

Transfer to UA

Students planning to transfer to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville are advised to use that university's services and say so (International credit evaluations).

What each evaluation agency asks for the translation

SpanTran, now The Evaluation Company, is NWACC's partner and asks that an outside translator be certified by ATA, or translates in-house; for it, eVerbary can assign a translator individually certified by ATA through a free quote.

Any NACES company is accepted instead: WES wants a word-for-word translation by a professional translator, and ECE accepts a complete, literal translation or sells an $85 waiver.

Which report for which record

NWACC asks for a General Analysis of your high school transcript and diploma and a Course Analysis of any college transcript (International credit evaluations).

The rule applies to new, transfer, visiting and online international students alike. If you plan to move on to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, NWACC suggests telling the evaluator so you can reuse the work.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to NWACC

  • The translation goes to SpanTran or another NACES company with your records; the agency sends its General or Course Analysis to NWACC (International credit evaluations).

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For NWACC that means we translate your records; the General or Course Analysis is ordered by you from SpanTran or another NACES company.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
