Normandale requirements in detail

Translation

Documents in another language must be accompanied by English translations from a certified service (International student admission requirements).

Who may translate

A certified translation service (International student admission requirements).

Academic records

A copy of the official certificate or graduation exam results with a completion date; with a post-secondary degree, an unofficial college transcript is also accepted (International student admission requirements).

Financial documents

A notarized Sponsor Financial Responsibility Form and bank statements issued within 90 days, all with an English translation if not in English; foreign bank statements stamped or signed as certified (International student admission requirements).

Where to upload

The International Student Documentation Form: everything at once, 10 MB in total, not in Safari (International student admission requirements).

Foreign college credit

Official transcripts with a course-by-course evaluation through ECE or WES (International student admission requirements); the catalog accepts any NACES member (catalog).

Deadlines (F-1)

Outside the US: June 1 for fall, October 1 for spring. Staying in the US: July 1 and November 1. No summer admission; late submissions are not accepted (International student admission requirements).

A certified service, for records and money documents alike

Normandale says who translates: documents in another language must be accompanied by English translations from a certified service (admission requirements).

For admission it needs proof that you completed secondary school, a copy of an official certificate or graduation exam results with a completion date, so translate the certificate or exam results with the date clearly shown. The college may decline to use any document submitted.

The same page extends the rule to money: the notarized sponsor form and every bank statement need an English translation if they are not in English.

Statements must be issued within 90 days of submission and show $27,500 in accessible funds; statements from banks outside the US must be stamped or signed as certified originals or certified true copies, with account numbers redacted (International student admission requirements).

Plan the translation after the bank issues the statement so the 90 days are not spent waiting.

Where Normandale's pages differ

The admission page asks for a copy of the official certificate and, if you have a degree, accepts an unofficial college transcript (admission page).

The 2026-2027 catalog describes a stricter file: official transcripts from the secondary school and every college, sent in your native language and in English translation, and, if they are not originals, certified or attested copies signed by a school or government official, US embassy staff or a notary public (catalog).

The rule on the translation is the same in both; what differs is the copy of the original. Ask International Admissions which one applies before you send.

Credit for study abroad

To transfer credit from a university in your home country, request official transcripts with a course-by-course evaluation through ECE or WES (International student admission requirements); the catalog adds that any NACES member is accepted and the transfer policy also names AIE (catalog).

WES asks for a translation by a professional translator; ECE accepts any complete, word-for-word translation or sells an $85 waiver.

What an eVerbary translation includes

  • A complete English translation of every page, stamps, seals and handwritten notes included, laid out like the original so each line can be matched.
  • Grades exactly as recorded, with the grading scale the document prints. We never convert marks to a US GPA.
  • A signed certificate of translation accuracy on letterhead, with our contact details, delivered as a PDF you can upload.
  • $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, certification included; 24 hours for one to three pages as standard. Regular clients who need it can get delivery in as little as 30 minutes, on request.

Uploading the translation to Normandale

  • Attach the translations with their originals to the International Student Documentation Form after the online application; all materials go at one time, and missing documents stop the review (International student admission requirements).

  • Keep the files small: the form takes 10 MB in total, short file names without special characters, and no very high-resolution images.

What we do not do

eVerbary is a translation service, not a credential evaluation service: we do not issue evaluations, US equivalencies or GPA conversions, and we cannot send documents on behalf of the school that issued them.

For Normandale that means we translate your records and financial documents; the course-by-course evaluation for credit comes from WES, ECE or another NACES member.

How to order

  1. Scan or photograph every page of the document, front and back, including any stamps on the reverse.
  2. Upload it, choose the language and "certified", and see the price before paying.
  3. Receive the PDF, usually within 24 hours for one to three pages, and upload it with the copy of the original wherever the institution asks for it.
